John Nelson Darby (18 November 1800 – 29 April 1882) was an Anglo-Irish Bible teacher, one of the influential figures among the original Plymouth Brethren and the founder of the Exclusive Brethren. He is considered to be the father of modern Dispensationalism and Futurism in the English vernacular. He produced a false translation of the Bible based on the Hebrew and Greek texts called The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby.

Jesus tells us “Beware of the scribes…” and in 1 Corinthians 1:19-20 “It is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. The Plymouth Brethren has mainly  split into Exclusive and Open Brethren in 1848 when George Müller refused John Nelson Darby‘s bias view of the relationship between local assemblies following difficulties in the Plymouth meeting. Religious people are always arguing about WHEN it will happen – PRE – MID – POST tribulation. Believing NO RAPTURE solves all those arguments. Some people prefer NOT to call it THE RAPTURE, but have other names for it. You hear people quoting Scripture when they say COME QUICKLY, LORD JESUS. They are looking for an ESCAPE from the things of this world. When things REALLY get bad, and there is NO RAPTURE, many will turn their back on Jesus because they were not RESCUED. When this happens, they cancel their ticket to Heaven. This is exactly what the devil wanted, when he started the teaching of THE RAPTURE. “In my historical research of the Church over the last 35 years I have found an earlier record of the rapture doctrine than Margaret McDonald and the Irvingites. If you will check the counter reformation move of Papal Rome in the 16th century after Martin Luther nailed his 95 thesis to the church door in Wittenberg on October 31, 1517. You will find that Pope Leo X authorized three Jesuit Priests to reinterpret Daniel’s 70 weeks of prophecy; the Book of Revelation; and Ezekiel. The goal of these Jesuits was to take the heat of the reformation away from the papacy. The three Jesuits were: 1. Francisco Ribera (1537-1591) of Salamanca – futurism/rapturists 2. Luis de Alcazar (1554-1621) of Seville – praeterism 3. Cardinal Roberto Bellarmine (1542-1621) – followed Ribera’s school of thought The futurists rapture doctrine originated and was submitted by Francisco Ribera in 1585. His Apocalyptic Commentary was on the grand points of Babylon and Anti-christ which we now call the futurists or rapture doctrine. Ribera’s published work was called “In Sacram Beati Ionnis Apostoli ” Evangelistate Apocoalypsin Commentari (Lugduni 1593). You can still find these writings in the Bodleian Library in Oxford England. I don’t have the time or space to go into this in great detail, but suffice it for now that Ribera’s futurist interpretation rocked not only the protestant church , but also the Catholic church so the Pope ordered it buried in the archives out of sight. Unfortunately, over 200 years later a librarian to the Archbishop of Canterbury by the name of S. R. Maitland (1792-1866) was appointed to be the Keeper of the Manuscripts at Lambeth Palace, in London, England. In his duties, Dr. Maitland came across Francisco Ribera’s futurists/rapture teaching and he had it republished for the sake of interest in early 1826 with follow ups in 1829 and 1830. This was spurred along with the Oxford Tracts that were published in 1833 to try and deprotestantize the Church of England. John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) (A Leader of the Plymouth Brethren) became a follower of S.R. Maitland’s prophetic endeavors and was persuaded. Darby’s influence in the seminaries of Europe combined with 7 tours of the United States changed the eschatological view of the ministers which had the trickle down effect into the churches. Darby’s/Ribera’s teachings were embraced radically by Cyrus Ingerson Scofield (1843-1921). Scofield adopted Darby’s/Ribera’s school of prophetic thought into the Scofield Reference Bible of 1909 which was heralded as the “book of books”. Another contributor to the rapturist’s chaotic prophetic line of thought came through Emmanuel Lacunza (1731-1801), a Jesuit priest from Chile. Lacunza wrote the “Coming of Messiah in Glory and Majesty” around 1791. It was later published in London in 1827. The book was attributed to a fictitious author name Rabbi Juan Josafat BenEzra. Reverend Edward Irving (1792-1834) contended that it was the work of a converted Jew and proved that even the Jewish scholars embraced a pre-tribulation rapture line of thought. It wasn’t long until he had persuaded others to follow his line of thought which gave birth to the Irvingites (per your reference to Margaret McDonald). In March 1830, in Port Glasgow, Scotland, 15 year old Margaret McDonald made claim of her visions. Robert Norton published Margaret’s visions and prophecies in a book entitled, “The Restoration of Apostles and Prophets in the Catholic Apostolic Church” (London, 1861). Although the modern day view of every believer being taken away in a rapture is different from all of the thoughts that came before it, there is little doubt to it’s error. Lacunza casserted that only thopse believers that partake of the sacrament of the Eucharist would be raptured; while Margaret McDonald said the rapture would only take those that were filled with the Holy Spirit; and Norton claimed that only those that had been sealed with the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands would be raptured. Definitely confusion ensued. John Darby, an ordained deacon in the Church of England, was acquainted with Edward Irving and had visited Margaret McDonald during the time of her visions. Combined with the knowledge he had gained from S.R. Maitland/Ribera’s teachings and the new push from Irving/McDonald/Lucunza’s teachings, Darby used the rapture theory to bring a clean break from the lethargic Church of England. Ribera and Lucunza’s teachings find a meeting point in John Nelson Darby. The effects of this purported lie against the truth are still dominant today in Christian churches world-wide. Albeit the light is still shining, through individuals like yourself, and I believe beyond the shadow of a doubt that Truth will prevail and this disgusting futurists heresy will be thrown down and disproved once and for all.   “

 Kevin Rudd, Prime Minister of Australia, said in 2007: “I believe this is an extremist cult and sect,”[and “They split families and I am deeply concerned about their impact on communities across Australia.”.

Critics of The Plymouth Brethren firstly object  to their false teaching that you have to use their approved commentaries to study the Bible,with a very heavy, false emphasis on the original Greek and not the Holy Spirit as they are Cessationists falsely.

Critics of The Plymouth Brethren have accused it of using cult techniques by controlling all aspects of its members’ lives  The group’s influence over its members is such that many who have left the group have had trouble adjusting to life outside. To help with this problem, several websites have been set up to assist people that have left the church to adjust back into mainstream society

Among the various criticisms raised against the church? ( they themselves do not admit to being one) are:

They tend not to reveal openly, initially who they really are but camouflage it by saying they are Christians but this is not the true since most Christians do not agree with their too many false doctrines.

They do contrary to the Bible falsely recommend one spouse to divorce the other one if they do not agree with their doctrines. Separation from Evil – God’s Principle of Unity. “  Hence the church is to put out from itself the wicked person, and thus maintains its separation from evil.  But, alas! we know worldliness creeps in, and spiritual power declines; the taste for this blessing is enfeebled, because it is not enjoyed in the power of the Spirit; the spiritual fellowship with Christ the heavenly Head decays, and the power which banishes evil out of the church is no longer in living exercise… the evil must be separated from.“ Rev John Darby

Members who leave or who are expelled from the group have often been treated with what outsiders may regard as undeniably  great cruelty.

The Exclusive Brethren were accused of providing over half a million dollars to the campaign of George W. Bush, another half-million to the campaign of New Zealand National leader, Don Brash, and large amounts to the campaign of Australia’s John Howard. The Brethren Church claims it has never engaged in political activity. Individual citizens, they claim, have the right to express their concerns and encourage principles which they support or believe are right, although Exclusive Brethren do not – as a matter of principle – vote. The media attention on the brethren has been particularly active in Australasia. In 2007, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation current affairs television program ‘Four Corners’ aired an investigation into a claim of secret campaigning by the Exclusive Brethren alleging that church elders had met with both the then Australian Prime Minister John Howard and the Treasurer Peter Costello  and had allegedly provided them with their support.[ The program revealed that the Brethren had a vigorous and largely untold political history going back at least to 1993, and provided evidence of a trail spelling out how its members have spent millions in state and federal elections and overseas, including the USA.

During the 2005 general election, the National Party leader Don Brash accepted covert assistance from the Exclusive Brethren. This assistance included organising a separate electoral canvassing and advertising campaign that attacked the socially-liberal policies of the incumbent Labour and Greencoalition government. This strategy backfired and contributed to Prime Minister Helen Clark‘s second re-election

Critics asserted that the Exclusive Brethren’s canvassing campaign was such that at one stage it had “threatened the Government” of that country  Ex New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark accused the sect of hiring a private detective to gather dirt on her and husband Peter Davis, who was photographed kissing one of the couple’s oldest friends, Dr Ian Scott, who is gay.  Due to the ensuing public backlash against the Exclusive Brethren’s canvassing efforts, Brash’s successor Prime Minister John Key explicitly rejected any assistance from the Exclusive Brethren during the 2008 election

Controversy over the Brethren also  revolves around the practice of “shutting up”, where families or persons are confined to their homes, this  is used to punish members who break rules.

The doctrine of the separation of Israel and the Church, the foundation of dispensationalism, was born out of Darby’s attempt to justify his newly fabricated rapture theory with the Bible. Dispensationalists believed justification for carving up the Scriptures came from 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) “rightly dividing the word of truth.” Subsequent dispensationalists divided the Scriptures in terms of categories of people: Jew, Gentile, and Christian. Chafer taught that the only Scriptures addressed specifically to Christians were the gospel of John, Acts, and the Epistles! “END-TIME” CONFUSION ABOUNDS. But the Scripture tells us “God is not the author of confusion” (I Cor. 14:33). Yet when it comes to proper end-time direction, Dispensationalist  churches almost universally exude mainly  the spirit of confusion and contradictions.

Matthew 24:37-41 (Jesus speaking) But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days that were before the flood, THEY (the wicked) were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark. And THEY (the wicked) knew not until the flood came and took THEM (the wicked) ALL AWAY; so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.

THEY and THEM are clearly the WICKED (ungodly unbelievers).

Verse 40 – Then shall two be in the field, the (WICKED) one SHALL BE TAKEN, and the other left.

Two shall be grinding at the mill; the (WICKED) one SHALL BE TAKEN and the other left.

Luke 17:26, 27 and 34-36 (Jesus speaking) As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the day of the Son of Man. THEY (the WICKED) did eat, THEY (the WICKED) did drink, THEY (the WICKED) married wives, THEY (the WICKED) were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed THEM (the WICKED) all.

…I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed,; the (WICKED) one SHALL BE TAKEN (destroyed) and the other left.

Two women shall be grinding together; the (WICKED) one SHALL BE TAKEN (destroyed) and the other left.

Two men shall be in the field; the (WICKED) one SHALL BE TAKEN (destroyed) and the other left.

RAPTURE believers think THEY will be the ONE TAKEN. If you think YOU will be TAKEN, lets see what Jesus says will happen to you.

Luke 17:37, Jesus answers the disciples question of what happens to the TAKEN ONES. Jesus said, WHERE THERE IS A DEAD BODY, THERE THE VULTURES WILL GATHER.

2 Peter 2:5 (Peter speaking) (God) saved (kept safe) Noah…bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly (WICKED).

Matthew 13:24-30 The parable of the wheat and the tares. Gather together FIRST THE TARES. Jesus continues, The Son of Man shall send forth His angels, and they will gather OUT of His Kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity….

Luke 17:29,30 (Jesus speaking) …(in) Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from Heaven and destroyed THEM ALL. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. THE WICKED were destroyed, once again.

Matthew 13:47-50 (Jesus speaking) Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a net that was cast into the sea and gathered of every kind, which, when it was full, they drew to shore; and they sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but THREW THE BAD AWAY. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and SEVER THE WICKED from among the just, and cast them into the furnace of fire…

Once again the GOOD remain and the BAD are thrown away. THE WICKED TAKEN and destroyed “from among the just,” who remain on the earth.

I Thessalonians 5:3 (Paul speaking) For when THEY (THE WICKED) shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction shall come upon THEM…and they shall not escape.

Matthew 24:21,22 and Mark 13:19,20 (Jesus speaking) For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved (survive); but for THE ELECT’s sake whom He hath chosen, He hath shortened the days.

How can there be THE ELECT during this time IF they went in THE RAPTURE?

ELECT is also mentioned in Luke 18:7; Romans 8:33; Colossians 3:12; Titus 1:1

Proverbs 2:21, 22 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall REMAIN in it, but THE WICKED shall be cut off (taken/destroyed) from the earth and the transgressors shall be rooted OUT of it.

Psalm 145:20 The Lord preserveth ALL that love him; but ALL THE WICKED He will destroy.

Proverbs 10:30 The righteous shall NEVER be REMOVED;

Proverbs 11:31 The righteous shall be recompensed IN the (world) earth…

Psalm 101:8 I (God) will early (first) destroy THE WICKED of the land…

Psalm 119:119 All THE WICKED of the earth you discard (throw away) like dross.

Proverbs 25:4,5 Take AWAY the dross from the silver…Take AWAY THE WICKED from before the King…

Isaiah 5:24 and 29:5 The flame consumeth the chaff (WICKED).

Job 21:18 THEY (THE WICKED) are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth AWAY.

Job 38:13 (Speaking to God) …take hold of the ends of the earth that THE WICKED might be shaken OUT of it.

Malachi 4:1 For behold the day cometh…and all that do WICKEDLY, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up…

Psalm 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land (earth) and dwell therein FOREVER.

Psalm 37:9-11 For evildoers (WICKED) shall be cut off (destroyed); but those that wait upon the Lord shall inherit the earth.

Isaiah 13:9 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger…and He shall destroy the sinners thereof OUT of it (the earth).

Psalm 104:35 Let the sinners be consumed OUT OF THE EARTH (world), and let the wicked be no more.

Psalm 52:5 God shall likewise destroy THEE (THE WICKED) forever; He shall take THEE AWAY, and pluck THEE OUT of thy dwelling place.

The above are just some of the Scriptures that make it CLEAR that the righteous STAY, and THE WICKED GO.

Ezekiel 9:4-6 and Revelation 9:3,4 talk about THE WICKED being destroyed in the midst of the RIGHTEOUS.

Was King David raptured out of all his tribulation? NO

Exodus 7:18 through 12:30 records the Israelites were IN Egypt for all ten plagues of God’s wrath.

Was Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego raptured out of the firery furnace? NO

Was Jesus or any of the Apostles raptured out of their persecution? NO

Was Paul raptured out of all his tribulations (2 Corithians 11:23-27)? NO

NO RAPTURE, JUST MUCH TRIBULATION

1 Thessalonians 4:17 is the SINGLE Scripture used to justify THE RAPTURE by false doctrine. Based on Scripture, you cannot make a doctrine on a SINGLE Scripture. The word RAPTURE does not appear in the text of any translation of the Bible, in any language.

“CAUGHT UP” are the words used by many when referring to THE RAPTURE. King James must have missed this one because the words “CAUGHT UP” are not found in the Young’s Concordance for 1 Thessalonians 4:17. However, “CATCH” is listed under that Scripture. That word appears 13 times, and is translated six different ways: catch, catch away, catch (caught) up, pluck and take by force. In the 12 other Scriptures, it has nothing to do with the physical removal of living people from the earth/world to heaven.

Also in THE RAPTURE CHAPTER, 1 Thessalonians 4:17, is to meet the lord IN THE AIR. According to the Strong’s and Young’s concordance, “AIR” is the Greek word “AER”, as used in the following Scriptures:

Acts 22:23, …and threw dust into the air (AER).

1 Corinthians 9:26, …not as one who beateth the air (AER).

1 Corinthians 14:9, …for ye shall speak in the air (AER).

Another Greek word which is also translated, AIR, in the KJV of the Bible is OURANOS. That translation is found in Matthew 6:26, 8:20, 13:32; Mark 4:4 and 32; Luke 8:5, 9:58, 13:19 and Acts 10:12, 11:6. Each one of these Scriptures refer to “the birds/fowls of the air (ouranos).

Grab a handful of dirt and throw it into the air. That’s about where you would be hanging IF there were to be a RAPTURE, based on the recorded meaning of the word AIR.

Next we have the phrase “with them in the CLOUDS”. If you look outside, you can see the clouds WAY UP there. BUT, is that what the Scripture means? No.

In the following Scriptures, the CLOUD came DOWN to earth:

Matthew 17:5; Mark 9:7; Luke 9:34

In 1Corinthians 10:1,2, they were UNDER the CLOUD, and were baptized IN the CLOUD.

Hebrews 11:36 through 12:2 talks about SO GREAT A CLOUD OF WITNESSES.

With all of the above, let us read 1 Thessalonians 4, beginning at verse 13, with a much more accurate and clearer understanding of the words and terms used therein. For clarity, the following Scripture quotes from 1 Thessalonians are in capital letters.

“BUT I WOULD NOT HAVE YOU IGNORANT, BRETHREN, CONCERNING THEM WHICH ARE ASLEEP (this Scripture is primarily about the departed/dead saints in Christ) THAT YE SORROW NOT, EVEN AS OTHERS WHICH HAVE NO HOPE (the Sadducees did not believe in a resurrection). FOR IF WE BELIEVE THAT JESUS DIED AND ROSE AGAIN (we all believe that), EVEN SO (in like manner) THEM ALSO WHICH SLEEP (are dead) IN JESUS WILL GOD BRING WITH HIM (Jesus). FOR THIS WE SAY UNTO YOU BY THE WORD OF THE LORD, THAT WE (Biblical believers) WHO ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN (on earth) UNTO THE COMING OF THE LORD SHALL NOT PREVENT (precede) (have any advantage over) THEM WHICH ARE ASLEEP. FOR THE LORD HIMSELF SHALL DESCEND FROM HEAVEN (Acts 1:11, Jesus went directly from earth to Heaven and shall return “in like manner” directly from Heaven to earth. No rapture back to heaven for a later third coming!) WITH A SHOUT, WITH THE VOICE OF THE ARCHANGEL, AND THE TRUMP(et) OF GOD: AND THE DEAD IN CHRIST SHALL RISE (Greek word, anistemi: to set up or be resurrected) FIRST: THEN WE WHO ARE ALIVE (“We shall not all die, but shall be changed/transformed/transfigured” (1 Cor 15:51) AND REMAIN (on the earth in the “aer”) SHALL BE CAUGHT UP (made one) (harpazo) TOGETHER (at the same time) WITH THEM (the dead in Christ) IN THE CLOUDS TO MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR (the “great cloud of witnesses” that will “be made perfect” with us on earth when Jesus brings their spirits “with Him” to be united with their bodies resurrected out of the ground “first” into the air [aer] with us in the air, on the surface of the earth): AND SO SHALL WE (for) EVER BE WITH THE LORD (in the air [aer] here ON earth forever). WHEREFORE, COMFORT (reassure) ONE ANOTHER WITH THESE WORDS.” (Notice, the Lord “descended from Heaven” before we are “caught up” to Him; just as the “New Jerusalem” came down to dwell with us–Rev. 21:2.)

“It is a fact that no Christian churches, congregations or fellowships existing prior to 1830 proclaimed a RAPTURE doctrine, and all accepted the Biblical truth that Christians would be on earth during the time of great tribulation. Before 1830, the single RAPTURE Scripture of 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 were accepted as resurrection verses.

The SCOFIELD Bible and the DAKE’S Bible were the first to carry FOOTNOTES about THE RAPTURE. It’s all (BAD) history from there!

Many well-known scholars warned that the teachings of dispensationalism were “unscriptural” (Spurgeon), “heterodox” (Dabney), “bizarre doctrine” and “grievous error” (Warfield), but the warnings went largely unheeded.

WE HAVE been requested to reply to a small tract which has been given away at the door of the Tabernacle, by one of the “Plymouth Brethren,” but it is so devoid of all sense, Scripture and reason, that it needs no reply. We have not learned the art of beating the air, or replying to nonsense. The only meaning we could gather from the rambling writer’s remarks was a confirmation of our accusation, and a wonderful discovery that a long controverted point is now settled; the unpardonable sin is declared to be speaking against the Darbyites. Our portion must be something terrible if this be correct, but we have so little faith in the spirit which inspires the Brethren, that we endure their thunderbolts as calmly as we would those of the other infallible gentleman who occupies the Vatican. Another of this amiable community, having detected an error in one of our printed sermons, has most industriously spread the tidings that Mr. Spurgeon is a blasphemer. At the doors of their meetings and by enclosures in letters this sweet specimen of Christian charity is abundantly distributed; more to their shame than to our injury. We are persuaded that neither the writer of that cowardly anonymous fly-sheet, nor any other Plymouthist, believes in his heart that Mr. Spurgeon would knowingly blaspheme the glorious name of Jesus, and therefore the issue of the pamphlet is, we fear, a wickedly malicious act, dictated by revenge on account of our remarks upon their party. Our name and character are in too good a keeping to be injured by these dastardly anonymous attacks. NeitherMr. Newton* nor Mr. Muller** would sanction such action; it is only from one clique that we receive this treatment. It is worthy of note that even the printer was ashamed or afraid to put his name to the printed paper. “ An invisible Coming and pre-Tribulation Rapture is not found in the Bible. Before 1830 the belief in an invisible Return of Christ and a pre-Tribulation Rapture was unheard of in  the public discourse of the Evangelical Church. No one today has independently studied the Prophetic Scripture and come to any such conclusion on their own. Every new believer must be taught this solely from Darby’s theology in order to believe that there will be an invisible return of Christ and a pre-Tribulation Rapture. This teaching cannot be derived directly from the Bible because it just simply is not there. Jesus never taught it, the Apostles never taught it and the Hebrew Prophets never taught it. In fact Christ Himself as well as Paul clearly warned us against being fooled into believing in a secret Coming or a pre-Antichrist/Apostasy Rapture (Matthew 24:26-28 and II Thessalonians 2:3-4). The Apostle Paul said, “…learn not to go beyond what is written.” II Corinthians 4:6. If Darby’s invisible Coming and pre-Tribulation Rapture cannot be found anywhere in the Word of God it has to be categorized as mere speculation and must be considered an unbiblical doctrine.

Contradicting Darby’s theology, the Bible clearly teaches that the Rapture will occur at the Seventh Trumpet after the Antichrist is revealed and every eye will certainly see Jesus when He first appears on the clouds

He will appear with great power and glory to gather the elect after the Tribulation

And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.” Matthew 24:29-31

The coming of the Lord and the Rapture will not occur until the Antichrist is revealed

Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together with Him, that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed wither by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one in any way deceived you, for it will not come unless the apostasy come first and the man of lawless ness is revealed II Thessalonians 2:1-3

The Rapture will occur at the Last Trumpet

Behold I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. II Corinthians 15:51-52

The Mystery of God will be finished at the Seventh Trumpet, not before the Tribulation

“…In the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound then the Mystery of God is finished, as He preached to His servants the prophets.” Revelation 10:6-7

The Mystery of God is Christ in the Church

The mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to the saints, to who God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of Glory. Colossians 1:26-27

Because every eye will see Him and the Rapture as well, the Church as a mystery to the world will be finished

When Christ who is our life is revealed, then you will also be revealed with Him in glory. Colossians 3:4

Jesus will be revealed from heaven and give relief the the afflicted Church

…And give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His might angels in flaming fire. II Thessalonians 1:7

Christ warns us about believing in a secret coming

For if they say to you, “Behold He is in the wilderness,” do not go out, or “Behold He is in the inner rooms,” do not believe them.  Matthew 24:26

He describes His return being as visible as lightning flashing across the entire sky

For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. Matthew 24:27

“If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and gives you a sign or wonder, and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spoke unto you, saying, ‘let us go after other gods, which you have not known, and let us serve them’; you shall not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord proves [tests] you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.”Deuteronomy 13:1–3

“In regard to the teachings of visionaries, recall what the apostle John commanded Christians.“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1

And though some refer to the prophecy of Daniel that “knowledge shall be increased” (Daniel 12:4) as proof that the revival of doctrinal truths will occur at the end of the age, this is not what Daniel meant. If you read the prophet carefully you will find Daniel was speaking that “the knowledge” of his prophecies will be increased, not the revival of general doctrines. In the original text of Daniel, the definite article occurs before the word “knowledge.” Daniel said THE knowledge will be increased,” and the text shows he meant “the knowledge of his prophecies.” Daniel was in no way speaking about a renewing of doctrines at the Time of the End.

A further admonition is necessary concerning the origins of visionary teachings that might emerge near our own time. It is by the apostle Paul and we should pay close attention to it. “Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”1 Timothy 4:1

.

These warnings from God’s word are a reminder that we should exercise caution in accepting the truthfulness of visionary revelations, particularly those near the end of the age, and which are contradictory to one another and to the Bible. The Pre-Tribulation Rapture Theory is such a doctrine; a teaching with no scriptural warrant. After all, the Holy Scriptures makes it plain that the first resurrection (when Christians from the past have their resurrections and we are caught up to heaven with Christ) occurs after the Tribulation is over (Revelation 20:5). And though a number of people within the Body of Christ have taken up with this false doctrine, it is time to jettison it from Christian belief.

The truth is, we will be protected from the evils of the Antichrist system (and the judgments of the Great Tribulation) by a mantle of safety from God that will protect us on earth. There is only one Second Advent of Christ and that is the moment (for all of us then living) we will be changed into immortality and the resurrection of the dead takes place. That is when all of us will meet Christ in the clouds (1 Thessalonians 4:13–18). We can believe this teaching with full assurance and faith. Real Christians are not being inconsistent with their beliefs

OLD.

Firstly what laws of God were applicable  before Moses for all Persons?
.
Between the time of Adam and Moses, everyone sinned. They were ignoring God, going their own ways, doing things God did not want them to do. God’s law existed, even though it had not been written down, and everyone was transgressing it. Therefore, death ruled over them all, even if they did not break a specific command in the way that Adam did. 
.
All normal humans have a conscience, a natural inbuilt sense of right and wrong. This is what Paul refers to in Romans 2:14-15. By nature, God has written a moral sense, a law, into human hearts. Their understanding of right and wrong is not perfect, but every sane person has at least a basic concept of right and wrong, of love and selfishness. Although everyone falls short, some people do have good behavior as compared to others. By nature, they do things that are required in God’s law — not the rituals of Moses, but the more general requirements of the law that existed before Moses.

Next the laws of Moses were still only applicable to all Jews, not the gentiles..  “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”  Leviticus 20:13

WHEN JESUS CAME HE CLARIFIED WHAT LAWS WERE NOW APPLICABLE TO ALL PERSONS, JEWS AND GENTILES..

“For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.” (Matthew 10:35-27)

For nearly two thousand years Biblicists have been lecturing people on the importance of adhering to the Bible’s teachings on ethics, manners, and morality.  They quote Jesus and Paul profusely, with a liberal sprinkling of Old Testament moralism.   MANY PERSONS TOO EASILY CLAIM THEY ARE Christians, while they love to talk about how loving, dutiful and compassionate they are, yet  their visible willful ignorance of the Bible , their own personal lack of applying it, reading it daily even  is hypocritical.. Christians practice what can only be described as “selective morality”.  That which is palatable and acceptable to them  is supposedly applicable to all; while that which is obnoxious, inconvenient, or self-denying is only applicable to those addressed 2,000 years ago.  Their hypocrisy is so rampant that even the validity of calling oneself “Christian” is in question.

“And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched.” (Mark 9:43)
.
 I see so many people enjoy quoting the Ten Commandments, the Sermon on the Mount, and some of Paul’s sermons, but THEY NOW don’t even PRETEND to heed other, equally valid, maxims such as no divorce, no consumption of alcoholic beverages too..  The Bible   says that anyone who obtains a divorce and marries another is in adulterer.  Remember that 80% of  North America  is Christian yet we have a 50% divorce rate. . A majority of divorces are a result of irreconcilable differences, not adultery, which implies that Christians are again practicing selective morality.  How many Christians are working on a second, third or fourth marriage?

1) “So they are no longer two but one flesh.  What therefore God has joined together, let no man put asunder” (Matthew 19:6 & Mark 10:9).
2) “Whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery” (Matthew 5:32, 19:9 & Luke 16:18).
3) “Whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery” (Matthew 5:32).
4) “…whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her” (Mark 10:11 & Luke 16:18), which applies to women as well (Mark 10:12).
.
“But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” (Matthew 5:28)
.
Christian women are supposed to dress discreetly (“…that women should adorn themselves modestly and sensibly in seemly apparel, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly attire”–l Timothy 2:9 RSV; and “Let not yours be the outward adorning of braiding of hair, decoration of gold, and wearing of fine clothing”– 1 Peter 3 :3). Violations of these rules are too numerous to mention.  The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God”–Deuteronomy 22:5).  Funny thing, many so called Christians  women are  wearing pant suits!

Do not turn to mediums or wizards; do not seek them out to be defiled by them.  I am the Lord your God”– Leviticus 19:3 1 RSV, see also: Leviticus 20:6 & Deuteronomy 18: 10-12). But too many still do consult astrological charts and  read the horoscopes..
.
“Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or that ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on…  Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, not gather into barns; yet your heavenly father feedth them.  Are ye not much better than they?”  –Matthew 6:25-34 & Luke 12:22-31 and yert it is undeniable many work under the table, do not pay all the applicable taxes, insists on tax exempt donations too.. etc..
.
Anyone who dreams or prophesizes anything that is against God, or anyone who tries to turn you from God, is to be put to death. (Deuteronomy 13:5)
.
If anyone, even your own family suggests worshipping another God, kill them. (Deuteronomy 13:6-10)
If you find out a city worships a different god, destroy the city and kill all of it’s inhabitants… even the animals. (Deuteronomy 13:12-15)
.
So  that is what many  they really are often like is , they  cling to a few verses, many that they try shove down other’s throats; but what is note worthy what they don’t like, they ignore vehemently, excuse    their ignorance falsely too.
.
Now this is especially true on the  validity of the ten commandments, the law of Moses today, anything about Israel too..  so are these laws now also valid?  Christians do not follow to the letter every one of the 613 laws found in the Old Testament,   CHRISTIANS STILL NOW  are Not Bound by Everything in the Old Law  none of the above. Old Testament law, as such, is not binding on Christians. It never has been. In fact, it was only ever binding on those to whom it was delivered—the Jews (Israelites). That said, some of that law contains elements of a law that is binding on all people of every place and time. Jesus and Paul provide evidence of this in the New Testament.

Matthew’s Gospel enlightens us to Jesus’ teaching concerning Old Testament law:
.
[A Pharisee lawyer] asked him a question, to test him. “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” And he said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as your   ” self. On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets.” (Matt. 22:34-40)
.
In saying this, Jesus declared the breadth of the new law of his new covenant which brings to perfection the old law. He explained further to his disciples:    Hear me, all of you, and understand: there is nothing outside a man which by going into him can defile him; but the things which come out of a man are what defile him.” And when he had entered the house, and left the people, his disciples asked him about the parable. And he said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a man from outside cannot defile him, since it enters, not his heart but his stomach, and so passes on?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.) (Mark 7:14-19);
.
Did the  rules ever change in the Bible? Of course they did. Let’s look at one example.
.
From the beginning man was vegetarian (Genesis 1:30). The Bible lists a number of covenants after this and usually there were some associated rule changes at this time. When there was a new covenant with Noah, man was allowed to eat clean and unclean meat (Genesis 9:3). With Moses, meat eating was even more strict, limiting them to eat only meat that was clean (e.g., Leviticus 11:47). In the new covenant in Christ’s blood, this was further opened up (Romans 14:1–4).
.
The key to a proper understanding  is knowing that the Old Testament law was given to the nation of Israel, not to Christians.
.
Jesus, Apostle Paul and the early church dealt with the difference between old and new,  and indicated that that almost all Testament laws are now  obsolete including the   seven annual Sabbaths,  dietary laws, and the weekly Sabbath.  Real Christians recognize from the Bible that when a new covenant came about, certain rules changed, were modified, or affirmed. Some of these covenants are the original Edenic,  Noahic, and the new one in Christ’s blood. So God’s rules to man can change at various covenants (but God’s character has never changed). New Covenant  generally does away with previous Mosaic rules because those rules were given to a specific group of people, the Jews,  and the new applicable rules are clearly stated in the New testament..  Specific regulations have been superseded by the New Covenant. In place of the Old Testament law, we are under the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2), which is to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind…and to love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39). If we obey those two commands, we will be fulfilling all that Christ requires of us: “All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments” (Matthew 22:40).  The Ten Commandments were essentially a summary of the entire Old Testament law. Nine of the Ten Commandments are clearly repeated in the New Testament (all except the command to observe the Sabbath day). Obviously, if we are loving God, we will not be worshipping false gods or bowing down before idols. If we are loving our neighbors, we will not be murdering them, lying to them, committing adultery against them, or coveting what belongs to them. The purpose of the Old Testament law is to convict people of our inability to keep the law and point us to our need for Jesus Christ as Savior (Romans 7:7-9; Galatians 3:24). The Old Testament law was never intended by God to be the universal law for all people for all of time

John 8:31-32 (NIV) 31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and th.e truth will set you free.” and:
John 8:36 (NIV) 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
SUMMARY- How many of the Laws in OT can be transported to NT and usable?

These are some of the OT laws which are no longer useful in NT:
-Animal Sacrifice
-Circumcision
-Unclean animals
-Circumcision
-Passover
-Sabbath
-Tithing
-all food
-all feasts

But these are still valid in NT:
-Do not worship idols
-Do not Murder
-Do not commit Adultery
– DO  NOT LIE
– DO NOT STEAL
– No Homosexuality
-No divorce
-No alcohol

Really now are you  still asking me to deny the very heart of the  Christian beliefs?

 For if I believe Jesus is the the resurrected Son of God, I now can’t follow all the ‘clean laws’ of diet and practices, feasts, and I can’t offer animal sacrifices. All that would be to deny the work, power of Jesus Christ’s death on the cross. 
.
Gentiles nor Christians are not required to follow the Old Testament rules still as they were given only to the Jewish nation.
.
 Galatians 3:24 says that the law is what points us to Christ.  It does this by showing us that we are not able to keep the law and that the only way of obtaining righteousness before God is through the sacrifice of Jesus, who was God in flesh (John 1:1,14; Col. 2:9).
.
Also  the Old JEWISH Covenantal system involved such harsh punishments, so it has been done away with.  We as Christans are under a new covenant.  Jesus said in Luke 22:20, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.”  This new covenant was prophecied in the Old Testament in Jer. 31:31, “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.”  It is referenced in 1 Cor. 11:25, 2 Cor. 3:6, Heb. 8:8, 9:15; and 12:24. Of particular importance   is Heb. 8:13 which says, “When He said, ‘A new covenant,’ He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear.”

The Old Covenant with its harsh judicial judgments is no longer in effect because we are under a New Covenant. However, none of this  this does not mean that we are to approve of such sins as homosexuality, adultery, lying, and stealing.  We still clealrly are to not participate in the sins of the world.  Instead, we are to avoid them. 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.:1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.:1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

We are also now not to be violent to anyone since the old Jewish , covenantal system has been done away with (Heb. 8:13).  Instead, we are to be kind to them (2 Tim. 2:24-25) and show them love (1 Cor. 16:14; 2 Cor. 5:14).
.
 But the moral condemnation of immorality still stands — as is clearly taught in 1 Cor. 6:9-10 and Rom. 1:26-28. Even in the Old Testament, many writers hinted that the sacrifices and the temple worship regulations pointed forward to something beyond them. (cf. 1 Samuel 15:21-22; Psalm 50:12-15; 51:17; Hosea 6:6)..
.
God still  expects everyone to have the capability of understanding that the whole Bible is about Jesus and God’s plan to redeem his people through Him too as well as each one of us as to understand the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to live a Christian, Godly life..
.
Also undeniably When Christ appeared he declared all foods ‘clean’ (Mark 7:19) and he ignored the Old Testament clean laws in other ways, touching lepers and dead bodies. The entire book of Hebrews explains that the Old Testament ceremonial laws were not so much abolished as fulfilled by Christ. Whenever we pray ‘in Jesus name’, we ‘have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus’ (Hebrews 10:19). It would, therefore, be deeply inconsistent with the teaching of the Bible as a whole if we were to continue to follow the ceremonial laws.
.
But the  New Testament still does continues to forbid killing or committing adultery, and all the sex ethic of the Old Testament is re-stated throughout the New Testament (Matthew 5:27-30; 1 Corinthians 6:9-20; 1 Timothy 1:8-11.) Only f the New Testament has reaffirmed an old Jewish commandment, then it is still in force for us Christians today.

The Church today also is not a civil government, and so sins are dealt with by exhortation and, at worst, exclusion from membership. This is how a case of incest in the Corinthian church is dealt with by Paul (1 Corinthians 5:1ff. and 2 Corinthians 2:7-11.)
.
 Why all of this changes from the Jewish laws? Under Christ, the gospel is not confined to a single nation—it has been released to go into all cultures and peoples for a start.  Once you understand that  the main premise of the Bible— the surpassing significance of Christ and his way of salvation—then all the various parts of the Bible can make sense. Because of Christ finished work on the cross, also now the ceremonial law is repealed. Because of Christ the church is no longer a nation-state imposing civil penalties.
.
 If you reject the real Christianity’s basic thesis— where you don’t believe Jesus was the resurrected Son of God— that Christ died in your pace for your sins, and gave you the Holy Spirit now next too and then even  the Bible is no sure guide for you about much of anything..  However, if you reject the idea of Christ as Son of God  Savior and Lord, Baptizer of the Holy Spirit , then, of course, the Bible is at best a mish-mash containing some inspiration and wisdom,and many thus would have it to be rejected as foolish or erroneous.

Real Christians are not being inconsistent with their beliefs to accept some of the  the moral statements in the Old Testament while not practicing most of other invalid ones, they just have a better understanding of the whole issues.. It all falls into place.

So what about the ten commandments?

Generally, mostly it is the insecure people in God, because of their still unresolved guilt,  who falsely have an emphasis on forced evangelism, and they falsely do support enforced, forced tithing, keeping the ten commandments  because they do not have enough of a relationship with God for HIM to supply all of their needs for their ministry. It should be noted that Jesus himself and  the Original apostles had never  requested tithing, and clearly they had not relied on tithing for all of their missionary endeavours. They trusted God for their leading and their needs to be met  Jesus himself and  the Original apostles financial request lay solely in helping the poor Christians.  But Apostle Paul had next said  in Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.. the law was only a schoolmaster.. next done away with..

 Since for sure  the law of Moses cannot bring any of us any us salvation, there was, is clearly no need to require the gentiles Christians now  to keep it. God rather gave them the Holy Spirit and showed that he accepts them without all those Mosaic rituals. They all persons now are saved by grace, and the Jews are, too. Thus the  old covenant is obsolete, so it`s laws are no longer required to be stressed for anyone,  as “It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God” (v. 19). There is no need to require the yoke of Moses, for that would make things unnecessarily difficult for the gentile believers.  James then suggested four valid  rules for living: “Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood” (v. 20). Instead of making things difficult for the gentiles, these four rules would be enough.

Now all Believers should not lie, steal and murder. That was as obvious to them as it is to us, so they did not need a special reminder about it. The James decree makes it clear that gentiles do not have to be circumcised, nor do they have to obey the laws of Moses. They the gentiles  are circumcised spiritually, not physically. God never gave those Mosaic commands to the gentiles.

Yes  “Some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, ‘The Gentiles must be circumcised and required to obey the law of Moses’” (Acts 15:5).

What were these laws? Were they biblical laws, or the unbiblical traditions of the elders? In every other New Testament mention of the “laws of Moses,” the biblical books of Moses are meant (Luke 2:22; 24:44; John 7:22-23; Acts 28:23; 1 Cor. 9:9; Heb. 10:28). Luke could have said “traditions,” but he did not. Anyone who knew the teachings of Jesus would already know that unbiblical traditions were not required. They did not need to debate about Jewish traditions. Peter then began to scold the people who wanted the gentiles to obey the laws of Moses: “Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of the disciples a yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear? No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are” (vs. 10-11). Some men said that gentiles should be circumcised and obey the laws of Moses or else they could not be saved. Not so, said the apostles. Gentiles are saved by grace and faith. God is pleased to dwell in people who aren’t circumcised and who don’t keep the rituals. But since Moses is widely preached, we need to give a decree that clearly distinguishes the Christian faith from the Law of Moses.  This pleased the entire church, so they wrote it in a letter and sent it to Antioch, where they “were glad for its encouraging message”

Apostle Paul had said that the Ten Commandments, although good, are temporary and had faded away .  Some foolish people try to say that the Ten Commandments, instead of fading, are actually more binding on people today than ever before. They want to expand the Ten instead of allowing them to  fade. Paul is saying that there is a fundamental change in the way people relate to God. The old way is a written law that condemns people to death. The new way is the Holy Spirit, which brings forgiveness and life. The Spirit leads us to obey God, but it is a fundamentally different relationship, a different basis of relating to God. The commands that God gave the Jews  are instructive but not necessarily imperative for us all..

Thus, “Jesus Christ” joins a name and a title, and means Jesus the Messiah. Christ, Messiah, Anointed One. The title “Christ” or “Anointed One” Gk. Christos “Cristov” occurs about 350 times in the New Testament.. The word christos means a person HOLY SPIRIT anointed . The Greek name for an individual “Christos” rendered “Christ” in Scripture, the basic of the term Christian now as well, comes from the Greek word “chrio” means to anoint with oil, the symbol of the Holy Spirit, one can tell if any person is a Christian cause they also can see the evidence of the holy spirit’s anointing.. so now we all can be anointed one inspectors of all Christians now too. Luke 4:18-19 (Wey) [Jesus:] “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to proclaim Good News to the poor; He has sent me to announce release to the prisoners of war and recovery of sight to the blind: to send away free those whom tyranny has crushed, to proclaim the year of acceptance with the Lord.”But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. . . . As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit–just as it has taught you, remain in him. 1 John 2:20, 27; The word christos means a person so anointed and the word chrisma refers to that by which a person is anointed. John uses chrisma in these two verses, not speaking of the object being anointed but of the instrument of anointing. Additionally, we find a word christianos in Acts 11:26, which means “one belonging to the Anointed One,” just as Herodianos would mean “one who belongs to Herod.” As the ultimate Prophet, King and Priest, Jesus Christ was anointed when he began his earthly ministry. This anointing was predicted by Isaiah in Isaiah 61:1 when he said that the Spirit of the Lord would come upon the Messiah. In God’s time, when Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, we are told the Holy Spirit came upon him when he came up out of the water. In other words, he was anointed by the Holy Spirit, and that without measure. When Jesus quoted Isaiah 61:1,2 in the synagogue of Nazareth, saying, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,” he was announcing to the people that he was the Messiah prophesied by Isaiah long ago and that the anointing of the Holy Spirit was now resting upon him. Not only is Jesus Christ anointed, but the Bible tells us that every believer in Jesus Christ is also anointed. We are kings, priests, and prophets under the Priest, Prophet and King, the Lord Jesus Christ. We find references to this in many places. John the Baptist said there was another person coming after him, mightier than himself, who would baptize people in the Holy Spirit and fire. In Acts 1:5 the Lord Jesus Christ himself speaks of this, saying, “For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” This was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost, as we read in Acts 2:4: “All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.” The Greek word for anointing is chrisma, from which we have the word chrism. Chrisma appears several times in 1 John 2:20 and 27. It comes from the root word, chriô, which means to rub something or someone lightly with a substance like oil or lotion. Thus, when John writes in 1 John 2:20, “But you have a chrisma, an anointing,” he was referring to the coming of the Holy Spirit upon every believer.;

  Christians have a better standard of behavior in the New Testament — a bigger body of literature with better balance over the Torah . We have the teachings of Jesus and the apostles. We should point people to Christ and the Holy Spirit , not to Moses, for instruction on how to live like a Godly Christian.

 So why is it many  do not do so.. it is cause they are holy Spirit ignorant and do not even know him  personally cause  likely Jesus Christ is not the sole Lord of their  life yet as well.

And what about tithing for Christians?  The Tithe- A tenth part of one’s annual income contributed voluntarily or due as an obligatory  tax, especially for the support of the clergy or church, synagogue. Tithing is only  an Old Testament concept, specifically the Mosaic law applicable only to Jews required that the Israelites give one-tenth of the produce of their land and livestock, the tithe, to support the Levitical priesthood (Leviticus 27:30-33)as well as the poor persons.

Christians are the future in God’s time tables, and they today are solely God’s people. Galatians 3:28-29 says there are no Jews in Christ…

Many even first-century Jews could identify with the phrase “kingdom of God.” made by Jesus Christ.. They the Jews In this cultural longing for national restoration, eagerly wanted God to send them a leader who would throw off Roman rule and make Judea an independent nation again—a chosen, superior nation of righteousness, glory and blessings, a nation everyone would be attracted to. There was a variety of speculations about how this would be done. The concept was attractive, although it was not Biblical… mere human expectation… But Jesus’ in his earthly ministry,   He told his disciples to preach “The kingdom of heaven has come near” and to heal the sick (Matt. 10:7; cf. Luke 10:9, 11). Not what the Jews wanted to hear..  But the kingdom most Jewish people hoped for did not happen. The Jewish nation was not restored. Even worse, the temple was rather even destroyed with all it’s records too, and the Jews were scattered. dispersed, exiled rather but why? . Even now, 2000 years later, these past  Jewish hopes are still unfulfilled. Was Jesus even still predicting a national Jewish   kingdom? Rather, the popular hopes and speculations were wrong. Jesus’ kingdom was not like the popular expectation—as we might guess from the fact that many Jews wanted to kill him. His kingdom was “not of this world” (John 18:36).

“Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand.” John the Baptist and Jesus proclaimed the nearness of God’s kingdom (Matthew 3:2; 4:17; Mark 1:15). A literal translation is “has come near.” The long-awaited rule of God was near.
.
When he talked about the “kingdom of God,” Jesus used a phrase the people knew, but he was giving it a different meaning. He told Nicodemus that God’s kingdom was invisible to most people (John 3:3)—to understand it or experience it, a person must be renewed by God’s Spirit (verse 6). The kingdom of God was a spiritual kingdom, not a civil and physical organization. Jesus rather indicated that  His kingdom was. is already functioning. After casting out demons, Jesus said, “If I cast out demons by the Spirit of God [and he did], then the kingdom of heaven has come to you” (Matt. 12:28; Luke 11:20). “ Jesus told a parable about a man who went to a foreign country to receive a kingdom (Luke 19:12). He went not to receive the territory and bring it back with him. Rather, he went to receive the authority to rule. He then returned to the territory and had to exert that authority. The Jews were well acquainted with a historical example: Herod had gone to Rome, seeking to be appointed king. He was so appointed, but when he returned to Judea he had to raise an army and conquer the territory. What he was given in Rome was not the territory, but the permission to be its king. The Greek word basileia is focused on authority, not on territory. “

When Jesus talked about the kingdom, he didn’t emphasize its physical blessings or clarify its chronology. He focused instead on how people get in that kingdom, and how they live. We enter the kingdom when we respond to God with faith and allegiance, when we come under his authority; we then seek to live in way that is reflective of that kingdom. The kingdom is here, he said, and the proof is in the exorcisms. The power of God is invading the domain of evil, expelling the powers of evil. This proof continues in the church today, because the church is doing even greater works than Jesus did (John 14:12). We can also say, “If we cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is working here.” The kingdom of God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, is continuing to demonstrate its power over the kingdom of Satan – and that power is shown not just in expelling evil spirits, but in many other activities that undo what the devil has done.Satan still exerts some influence, but he has been defeated, and “the prince of this world now stands condemned” (John 16:11). He has been partially restrained — tied up (Mark 3:27).

Jesus overcame Satan’s world (John 16:33), and with God’s help we are overcoming it, too (1 John 5:4). But not everyone does. In this age, the kingdom contains both good and bad, both wheat and tares (Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43, 47-50; 24:45-51; 25:1-12, 14-30). Satan still has influence; we still look forward to a world and a time in which God’s will is done perfectly rather than partially. In Mark 10:15, Jesus indicates that the kingdom is something we must receive in some way, apparently in this life:  “Anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Jesus Christ is in the church today, too, and just as the kingdom was present in the ministry of Jesus, it is present in the ministry of his church.
In Mark 10, a man wanted to inherit eternal life, and Jesus said he should keep the commandments (verses 17-19). This was apparently just a teaser of an answer, because Jesus soon added another command: He told him to give up all his possessions for the heavenly treasure (verse 21). Jesus commented to the disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!” (verse 23). The disciples asked, “Who then can be saved?” (verse 26).

In this passage, and in its parallel (Luke 18:18-30), we see several phrases used to indicate the same thing: receive the kingdom, inherit eternal life, have treasure in heaven, enter the kingdom, be saved. When Jesus said, “follow me” (v. 21), he was using another phrase to indicate the same thing: We enter the kingdom by orienting our life to Jesus – and it is not possible for us to do it – but it is possible with God. He makes the impossible possible.

In Luke 12:31-34, Jesus also indicates that several concepts are similar: seeking the kingdom, being given the kingdom, having a heavenly treasure, giving up trust in physical possessions. We seek God’s kingdom by responding to what Jesus taught, and that is also the way that we enter the kingdom. (We are talking about a metaphor of allegiance here, rather than physical movement to a new territory.) God’s kingdom is the realm in which God’s will is done. In Luke 21:28, 30, the kingdom is parallel to redemption. In Acts 20:21, 24-25, 32, we learn that Paul preached the gospel of the kingdom, and he preached the gospel of God’s grace, repentance and faith.

The kingdom is closely connected with eternal life—the kingdom would not be worth preaching if we couldn’t be part of it, and it wouldn’t make sense to risk our lives for it in this age unless we were promised life in an eternal age. We can enter the kingdom only through faith, repentance and grace, so those are part of any message about God’s kingdom. Salvation is a present-tense reality as well as a promise of future blessings. Acts 28:23, 29, 31 tells us that Paul preached not only the kingdom but also about Jesus and salvation.

The King is among us; his spiritual power is in us, even though the kingdom is not yet operating in its full power. We have already been brought into God’s kingdom (Colossians 1:13). We are already receiving a kingdom, and our proper response is reverence and awe (Hebrews 12:28). Christ “has made us [past tense] to be a kingdom” (Revelation 1:6). We are a holy nation (1 Peter 2:9)—already and currently a holy kingdom—but it does not yet appear what we shall be. God has rescued us from the dominion of sin and transferred us into his kingdom, under his ruling authority.  Eternal life with the triune God will be good primarily because of the relationships of love that will be in eternity – honesty and kindness will prevail. That sort of behavior has good results – not just in the future, but in the present age as well. So God invites us into this way of life.

The kingdom is not just a future reality – people are even now entering God’s kingdom by responding to what he offers. He offers not an artificial world in which our enjoyment has no connection with the way we treat other people, but a world or kingdom in which joy is the natural result of love, of treating others the way we wish to be treated.

Jesus  is already ruling, and we should be living his way now. We Christians do have now a small foretaste of what we will have in the future. We don’t yet possess a territory, but we do come under the reign of God. The kingdom of God is here now, as  Jesus said  Not by any means what many Jews still want to or expect to happen sadly.. At the end of the age, the Messiah Jesus Christ will return in his full power and glory, the weeds and tares, Satan now too will  be removed, and the kingdom of God will again be transformed in appearance. There will be no separate Jewish Kingdom here too.. The final form of the kingdom in Heaven now too , in which everyone is perfect and spiritual, will be dramatically different from the millennial one. The Holy Spirit himself now  is our guarantee of greater blessings (2 Corinthians 5:5, Ephesians 1:14).

Today the  church is the true Israel and Christians are God’s true “Jews” today.

Jesus taught that God would take his blessings away from fleshly Israel who rejected him as Christ and give it to the Gentiles. Jesus clearly taught the Gentile believers would replace Jewish non-believers.

a.      “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people, producing the fruit of it. ” (Matthew 21:43)

b.      The Jews who heard this understood what Rapture false teachers today refuse to see: “When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard His parables, they understood that He was speaking about them. ” (Matthew 21:45)

 The Bible clearly teaches that God’s true Jews today are Christians:

a.      “For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh. But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God. ” (Romans 2:28-29)

b.      “Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation. Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule, even to the Israel of God [Christians]. ” (Galatians 6:15-16)

c.       “for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh, ” (Philippians 3:3)

 Even the apostolic fathers of the first and second century  believed and taught “replacement theology”:

a.      “Christians are the True Israel” (Justin Martyr, Dialogues, Chapter CXXIII, 130 AD)

b.      “As therefore from the one man Jacob, who was surnamed Israel, all your nation has been called Jacob and Israel; so we from Christ, who begat us unto God, (like Jacob, and Israel, and Judah, and Joseph, and David,) are called and are the true sons of God, and keep the commandments of Christ” (Justin Martyr, Dialogues, Chapter CXXIII, 130 AD)

c.       “Christ is King of Israel, and Christians are the Israelitic Race. (Justin Martyr, Dialogues, Chapter CXXXV, 130 AD)

d.      “As, therefore, Christ is the Israel and the Jacob, even so we, who have been quarried out from the bowels of Christ, are the true Israelitic race.” (Justin Martyr, Dialogues, Chapter CXXXV, 130 AD)

e.      “For all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in their hearts.’ … But though a man be a Scythian or a Persian, if he has the knowledge of God and of His Christ, and keeps the everlasting righteous decrees, he is circumcised with the good and useful circumcision, and is a friend of God, and God rejoices in his gifts and offerings.” (Justin Martyr, Dialogues, Chapter XXVIII, 130 AD)

The Parable of the Landowner: Israel replaced by Church/Christians

 Listen to another parable. There was a landowner who PLANTED A VINEYARD AND PUT A WALL AROUND IT AND DUG A WINE PRESS IN IT, AND BUILT A TOWER, and rented it out to vine-growers and went on a journey. “When the harvest time approached, he sent his slaves to the vine-growers to receive his produce. “The vine-growers took his slaves and beat one, and killed another, and stoned a third. “Again he sent another group of slaves larger than the first; and they did the same thing to them. “But afterward he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ “But when the vine-growers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ “They took him, and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. “Therefore when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vine-growers?” They said to Him, “He will bring those wretches to a wretched end, and will rent out the vineyard to other vine-growers who will pay him the proceeds at the proper seasons.” Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures, ‘THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone; THIS CAME ABOUT FROM THE LORD, AND IT IS MARVELOUS IN OUR EYES’? “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people, producing the fruit of it. “And he who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust.” When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard His parables, they understood that He was speaking about them. When they sought to seize Him, they feared the people, because they considered Him to be a prophet. ” (Matthew 21:33-46)

In a parable so crystal clear only a premillennialist could get it wrong, the Jews, as a nation, were going to be replaced by something new, the church.

 “He will bring those wretches to a wretched end” happened in 70 AD.

  Now clearly the entire leadership of the apostolic church and most of the Elders in the churches were Jewish. But they had become Christians who stopped keeping the Sabbath and abandoned the Mosaic system of Judaism. They began immediately worshipping god on the first day of the week, the Lord’s day.

Jesus went to the Jews first but they rejected Him as the Messiah. The church, (the kingdom) is now open to both Jew and Gentile equally. Both must believe, repent, confess Jesus as Lord and be baptized for the remission of their sins. There is only one way to get saved! Jews have no special route to heaven that gentiles do not have. They all must believe and do the same things to be saved.

Paul always began his evangelism in a new city by preaching in the Jewish synagogues. When the Jews rejected the gospel, he turned to the gentiles: “But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began contradicting the things spoken by Paul, and were blaspheming. Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, “It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first; since you repudiate it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles. ” (Acts 13:45-46)

 “This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for those who disbelieve, [Israel] “THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE VERY CORNER stone,” and, “A STONE OF STUMBLING AND A ROCK OF OFFENSE”; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed. But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were NOT A PEOPLE, but now you are THE PEOPLE OF GOD; you had NOT RECEIVED MERCY, but now you have RECEIVED MERCY. ” (1 Peter 2:7-10)

a.      Notice that the “you are a chosen, holy nation of priests”, which was originally applied to fleshly Israel at the foot of Mt. Sinai is now applied to Christians to the exclusion of physical Israel unless they believe.

 i.      “and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel.” ” (Exodus 19:6)

  ii.      “”For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. ” (Deuteronomy 7:6)

b.      Notice that the text applies these special blessings of being “you are a chosen, holy nation of priests” to the gentiles and that fleshly Israel was “appointed to doom”

National Identities are destroyed in Christ:

1.      Passages:

a.      “For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity. ” (Ephesians 2:14-16)

b.      “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise. ” (Galatians 3:26-29)

2.      Notice that in fulfilling Isa 2:2-4, Christ brought about peace between all the nations that were at war.

3.      When a Jew becomes a Christian, he ceases to be a Jew and becomes a new creature.

4.      In Christ there are no national competing identities like there were under the Old Testament.

5.      National Jews have no advantage over Americans, Canadians, Egyptians or Iranians.

6.      Today Christians are God’s “chosen race” and they can be from any nation on earth.

Summary

1.      “Replacement Theology” or “Fulfillment Theology”, also known as “Supersessionism” is the true Bible doctrine that Christians and the Church of Christ replaced the Jews and the nation of Israel.

2.      Jesus taught Replacement Theology.

4.      The apostolic fathers like Justin Martyr taught Replacement Theology.

5.      There is no special plan of salvation today for the Jews. There is one gospel and Jews and Gentiles must obey the same gospel and be saved exactly the same way.

6.      There is nothing in the bible that teaches that at the end of time, God will bring Israel back to Canaan and offer them alone a special salvation merely because they are blood descendants of Abraham.

7.      There is no distinction in God’s eyes today between Jews and Gentiles. Jews who reject Jesus Christ as their messiah are in exactly the same spiritual state as Hindus, Muslims or atheistic evolutionists.

8.      There is not a Jew alive that can prove his Jewish heritage through genealogy. Most Jews in Israel today are Russian proselytes.

Holiness starts with Biblical repentance BY admitting one sins to God, stopping and consciously turning away from them, turning back toward God, and personally accepting Jesus Christ finished work, forgiveness for them. True repentance is confession, contrition, change; replacement and it involves the whole person, Our Body, Soul, Spirit. It is also a personal, ongoing event. While God will do his part even now related to the the issues of overcoming sin, sanctification, carrying out God’s plans, or on our being able to live a holy life we also must do our own part, cooperating with God and his word…

Eph 4:24 KJV) And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

(Rom 6:19 KJV) I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

(Luke 1:75 KJV) In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

(Isa 35:8 KJV) And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

WE FIRSTLY ARE FULLY JUSTIFIED, FORGIVEN AND ACCEPTED NOW IN JESUS CHRIST

We don’t have to be perfect or to achieve some standard of holiness to be able to come into God’s presence and have an audience with Him but to be continually effectively use by God we must maintain our holiness, OUR walk in holiness. Sanctification and holiness also means the appropriating daily by faith the BENEFIT of the fruit of the Holy Spirit, and other qualities of godly character. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such there is no law.” (Galatians 5:23,24).

(Psa 19:14 KJV) Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

(2 Cor 7:1 KJV) Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Sanctification also results in other qualities of our godly character such as courage, endurance, truthfulness, honesty and many others. Sanctification is rooted in humility – the correct view of God and oneself which leads one to hear correction from God and others, to put down selfish desires, and to obey God from the heart. The more truly humble a person is, the more God’s grace will work in his or her life to produce all the other elements of godly character.
Sanctification means God and us overcoming sin. As God comes in and fills the life, darkness and deception and evil desire is rooted out and rejected, cast out. The process of God’s sanctification will change our motives, our thinking, our speaking, our behavior and our actions. The old nature will be crucified (Galatians 5:24) and what it produced will be stopped. A sanctified person will also then be like God in His character and personality.

HOLINESS, SANCTIFICATION IS ALSO FIRST BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS

“Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace.” (Hebrews 10:29).
The Scripture teaches us that the blood of the Jesus sanctifies us. Not only does it justify us or make us right with God – it also sanctifies us. It changes us.

The first step for any person coming to God is to believe in the power of the blood of Jesus. This blood represents the payment for our sin. It takes sin away. We must believe that through the blood of Jesus we are forgiven. There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Knowing we are forgiven and free from guilt, we can serve God with a clear conscience and without fear (Hebrews 9:14). We can go forward in our walk with God.

But APPLYING, ACCEPTING the blood means more than JUST ACCEPTING OUR forgiveness IT ALSO involves our personal commitment to God and him alone, and that is the way also of our sanctification. Applying personally God’s forgivness, the blood of jesus and next wlking in, doing our own things, our own ways will insure we fail in our santifcation rather.

It is important to note the shed blood of this New Covenant Covenant

.  A real Christian is in blood covenant relationship with God. The Blood covenant is a serious types of agreements between God and man. Being in blood covenant with someone means “All that I have is yours, and all that you have is mine.” We must realize that this is our relationship to God. All that we have is His (1 Corinthians 6:19), and yet all that He has is ours in Christ (1 Corinthians 3:21; Romans 8:17; Romans 8:32; Matthew 7:7).

We are no longer our won boss, nor do we walk in our way or other men’s way. (Acts 5:29 KJV) Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. 30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. 31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

When we realize and practice that the blood of Jesus means that God has bought us and all that we have and are belongs to him – this has a powerful affect on our lives. We realize that we are no longer our own to go off and do whatever we choose. We must now continually listen to, obey God. The detail knowledge of this blood covenant can thus change us.

THE IMPORTANCE OF A TOTAL CONSECRATION

The knowledge of the blood covenant we are in as Christians calls for a conscious acknowledgement, total consecration and dedication of ourselves to God. Paul writes, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” (Romans 12:1).

Many professing Christians wrongfully now have not still made Jess the complete lord and of each and every aspect of their live, pastors and elders included.

We are called to consciously dedicate our bodies completely to God and this something we must do also continually. It is also a faith response towards God. It means that we are totally available for whatever God wants us to do. It means that our eyes, our ears, our hands, our feet, our mouth and our brains are given willingly over to God’s purposes. It means that our sexuality, family, work, income too also now is given over to God’s control. It means that our eating and drinking, walk will be for the glory of God only (1 Corinthians 10:31).

The truth is that our body, soul and spirit form a unity and are linked together in many important ways. Dedicating the body to God completely will next thus affect also the mind, the will and the emotions. God will help us also to transform us in every way – in our thinking, in our behavior, in our words, in our actions – if He truly has the keys to our lives which we have voluntarily given back to Him. The renewing of the mind (Romans 12:2) can only truly take place in the life of someone who has dedicated and offered his or her body to God. and if they abide in Jesus Christ, God, the Holy spirit and in his words, in the Bible.

(Psa 51:10 KJV) Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Jesus Christ is always still the centre of my life in every area. (1 Cor 2:2 KJV) For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Sanctification, a total dedication to God also now implies a dedication to constant Spirit-led prayer life. The Bible exhorts us to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17), to “continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving”  (Colossians 4:2), to be “praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints” (Ephesians 6:18).

This kind of consistent prayer is only possible by the power and working of the Holy Spirit and abiding in Christ and his word. We should be depending on the Holy Spirit, the power of the cross and every other empowerment God gives us, especially through His Word the Bible. We cannot achieve it simply through any self-effort. But we can and should ask God to work in us to produce this kind of prayer life.

(Heb 13:15 KJV) By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

What does this our total consecration to God mean in practice? Firstly it means living a life of praise to God, and obedience to God, being willing to be willing to worship and obey God always and live for Him in everything. It does not mean punishing oneself or inflicting oneself with , acts, duties we imagine that God might be pleased with according to us or others.

God far prefers wholehearted obedience to man-inspired sacrifices ((1 Sam 15:22 KJV) And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.).

(Rom 10:17 KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

(James 1:22 KJV) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. 26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain. 27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. 2:1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

Secondly this consecration also still means our self denial and taking up the cross daily. Jesus said, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” (Luke 9:23). We cannot be totally consecrated to God without “coming after Jesus” and Jesus tells us what will be necessary.

a. We must deny ourselves. This means saying no to the demands of self. It means saying no to selfish desires, the easiness and comfort that our flesh wants for itself, the “right” to indulge the sinful nature and to violate God’s law of love. It means saying no to pleasures which don’t come from God and don’t lead us to God.

b. We must take up our cross daily. Every day we will have opportunity to die to ourselves. Paul said, “I die daily.” (1 Corinthians 15:31). Taking up the cross means surrendering to God’s will when it is different to our own will, even when the path of God’s will means passing through pain and suffering. However, we know that “the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (Romans 8:31).

The more we consent to be united with Jesus in the likeness of his death, the more we will share in his resurrection power (Romans 6:5). That is true even in this life.

c. We must follow Him. This means seeking to be in His presence always through prayer, modeling our lives on His life, identifying ourselves with His nature and His purposes, and gladly obeying His commands.

Do stay in touch with the Holy Spirit and do not lose the touch of the Holy Spirit upon you personally, for even King Saul and Samson had sadly lost it..

 so I ask myself is he  merely an intellectual Christian, merely still doing your own thing  or have you really even accepted by faith the enpowerment of the Holy Spirit, The Baptism of the Holy Spirit?

and why is it I and so many Christians do not or did not  have this power of Christ?  they are not fully following after God firstly..  they are following their own will, or sinful men and women.. they need to get on their knees and humbly pray for the power of God to fall upon them

There is no “new” truth, but there is plenty of neglected New Testament truth about what it means to be a Christian even.. truth, life changing truth, just waiting to be drawn out by dilligent students of God’s Word.

CHRIST – the anointed one- Greek for Messiah (anointed one) is Christos, Christ in English. Thus, “Jesus Christ” joins a name and a title, and means Jesus the Messiah. Christ, Messiah, Anointed One. The title “Christ” or “Anointed One” Gk. Christos “Cristov” occurs about 350 times in the New Testament.. The word christos means a person HOLY SPIRIT anointed . The Greek name for an individual “Christos” rendered “Christ” in Scripture, the basic of the term Christian now as well, comes from the Greek word “chrio” means to anoint with oil, the symbol of the Holy Spirit, one can tell if any person is a Christian cause they also can see the evidence of the holy spirit’s anointing.. so now we all can be anointed one inspectors of all Christians now too. Luke 4:18-19 (Wey) [Jesus:] “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to proclaim Good News to the poor; He has sent me to announce release to the prisoners of war and recovery of sight to the blind: to send away free those whom tyranny has crushed, to proclaim the year of acceptance with the Lord.”But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. . . . As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit–just as it has taught you, remain in him. 1 John 2:20, 27; The word christos means a person so anointed and the word chrisma refers to that by which a person is anointed. John uses chrisma in these two verses, not speaking of the object being anointed but of the instrument of anointing. Additionally, we find a word christianos in Acts 11:26, which means “one belonging to the Anointed One,” just as Herodianos would mean “one who belongs to Herod.” As the ultimate Prophet, King and Priest, Jesus Christ was anointed when he began his earthly ministry. This anointing was predicted by Isaiah in Isaiah 61:1 when he said that the Spirit of the Lord would come upon the Messiah. In God’s time, when Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, we are told the Holy Spirit came upon him when he came up out of the water. In other words, he was anointed by the Holy Spirit, and that without measure. When Jesus quoted Isaiah 61:1,2 in the synagogue of Nazareth, saying, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,” he was announcing to the people that he was the Messiah prophesied by Isaiah long ago and that the anointing of the Holy Spirit was now resting upon him. Not only is Jesus Christ anointed, but the Bible tells us that every believer in Jesus Christ is also anointed. We are kings, priests, and prophets under the Priest, Prophet and King, the Lord Jesus Christ. We find references to this in many places. John the Baptist said there was another person coming after him, mightier than himself, who would baptize people in the Holy Spirit and fire. In Acts 1:5 the Lord Jesus Christ himself speaks of this, saying, “For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” This was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost, as we read in Acts 2:4: “All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.” The Greek word for anointing is chrisma, from which we have the word chrism. Chrisma appears several times in 1 John 2:20 and 27. It comes from the root word, chriô, which means to rub something or someone lightly with a substance like oil or lotion. Thus, when John writes in 1 John 2:20, “But you have a chrisma, an anointing,” he was referring to the coming of the Holy Spirit upon every believer.;

Throughout the Gospels, we see Jesus, anointed by the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, healing and delivering all who come to Him in faith (Acts 10:38.) Often, these miracles set the stage for the proclamation of the Gospel, and people regularly came to know Jesus as the result (Matthew 9:26, 31; Mark 5:20; Luke 5:15; John 4:30, 42; 6:2; 12:9-11, 17-19.) What’s more, He calls on all believers to follow His example, and promises us the same supernatural power to accomplish this mission! (Mark 16:15-20; John 14:12; Acts 1:8)

Too many  generally and falsely  define the Gospel as the word of  “salvation” and  simply meaning going to Heaven now, instead of Hell, when you die. This is certainly an important aspect of it, but it is not, by any means, all there is to to the Gospel . The Greek word for salvation comes from the word “sozo” (see Strong’s # 4982) which means to save, heal, preserve, and make whole. It involves all of the blessings bestowed on men by Christ. It shows that salvation is for the whole man, spirit, soul, and body, and is for the here and now, not just for the afterlife.; Now the power of the Holy Spirit poured out on the Day of Pentecost if for all believers everywhere today.

Notice how the word “charis” (grace) becomes the word “charisma” (gift,); Jesus Christ for all He  now is: Savior, Lord, Baptizer in the Holy Spirit, Intercessor, Healer, Provider, and much, much more. This is an absolutely essential part of the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 3.) If we neglect it, we become simply a person who now  has a form of godliness, but denies the power thereof (2 Timothy 3:5.);

We see exactly what He meant in the dramatic events described in the Book of Acts. The power Jesus spoke of was mightily poured out on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2: 1-4.) From then on, the early church continued in the same vien as their risen Lord, boldly preaching His Gospel, as He faithfully confirmed it with signs following. Whether it be healing (Acts 3:6; 4:10, 30; 5:12-16; 6:3-8; 9:34; 14:8-10; 19:11-12) deliverance (Acts 8:7; 16:18; 19:11-12,) or whatever the needs of lost, hurting people may have been, the Spirit’s power was there in abundance to meet them, and to give powerful testimony to Jesus’ message preached through His church. Just like in Jesus’ ministry, these miracles were also important tools that God used to draw people to salvation (Acts 8:6; 9:35, 42.);

There is still today Jesus Christ a God of miracles, and He never changes! (Malachi 3:6) He is eternally Jehovah Raphe, the Lord our Healer. He is eternally El Shaddai, the God who is more than enough. He is eternally Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our provider.;

In life on earth we still do search for personal happiness on earth and for the acceptance of others too.. God’s happiness and his acceptance  is all we need.

The LORD is my rock, and My fortress, and my deliverer; the God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour. II Sam. 22:2, 3

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psa. 28:7

When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. Isa. 59:19

We may boldly say, The LORD is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Heb. 13:6

The LORD is mv light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psa. 27:1

I really do know who I am in Jesus Christ and that Jesus personally forgave me for all my sins and He remembers them no more..

Promoting  hatred towards any professing Christians even here instead of   praying for them  is falsely, clearly working for the devil and not for Jesus Christ.

I am a Canadian and I am not offended by the name Jesus Christ, in fact it is clear that I exalt our good, lord, savior, baptizer of the Holy Spirit Jesus Christ , all the time.. Now I so have over a dozen public Christian internet sites, Google plus included , and 6 Facebooks sites that I also do administrate too and no one has ever asked for me not to use the name Jesus Christ even the last 50 years in Canada, no one, except the lying Messianic Jews and too often they do falsely demand I not use the name Jesus Christ.. I never saw any  Objections, complaints about that BY ANYONE to this and why was that too?
