The Poor Widow Jesus refers too

 

“A widow in ancient Palestine was in a very vulnerable financial condition. Most people lived in patriarchal family units on hereditary family land, under the authority of the ruling adult male. Women lived under the authority and protection of men. Unmarried women remained at home under the authority of their fathers. Married women lived under the authority and protection of their husbands. While some widows in Palestine were citizens of Rome, with greater legal and financial resources, most widows were extremely vulnerable. Most widows had no legal standing and no resources of their own. For this reason, the Torah always recognized widows as a special class of people who needed protection.In both Mark 12:38-44 and Luke 20:45-47; 21:1-4, the story of the poor widow comes immediately after Jesus’s condemnation of the practices of the Scribes. The Scribes were the legal scholars. They were the experts on the oral and written Torah.
  
  
In both Mark and Luke, Jesus comments on the poor widow after describing the Scribes as those who “devour the houses of widows.”Unless she was a Roman citizen, a widow had no legal status to manage the property and money her husband had left behind. After a man’s death, the Scribes would appoint a pious man to handle the widow’s financial affairs. The implication of the story is that the Scribes were using their status as experts in the law to defraud the widows out of their property. The Scribes who were supposed to protect her had left her with only two tiny coins to live on.This story Jesus tells about the poor widow is consistent with his condemnation of the religious system, which defrauded the poor widows. It is also consistent with his condemnation of the practices of the rich because of their exploitation of the poor. He compares the contributions of the rich with the tiny contribution of the widow as a way to criticize the rich. Although the very rich gave large sums of money, what they gave made no difference in the way they lived. They gave out of their abundance. However, she gave all she had to live on.When Christian teaching separates the story of the widow from the comment about the Scribes who devour the houses of widows, it misses the point of the teachings of Jesus about money.

This is not a story telling the poor to give away everything they have. It is a story about an unjust system in which the poorest and most vulnerable were being exploited by the rich and powerful. ..This story does not teach the most vulnerable of the society to give away everything they have. In fact, this story is a condemnation of a religious system that robbed widows of their money.”

 

 
Interesting.. I have seen big rich evangelical churches abuse the poor persons myself.. Baptist, Alliance, Pentecostal ones too..

The false comforters

Luke 12:51 Do you suppose that I have come to give peace upon earth? While I totally support marriage as an essential basis of stability, morality as well in our civilization, Marriage ( Or related sex) itself is not our final goal, or the answer to all of life’s problem.. And sadly too many married people are even sinfully too self centered. Jesus UNDENIABLY firstly is the answer to the problems of life and the goal of life even for pastors, who seem too often to be sex maniacs, adulterers now too… Todd Bentley and all of the others do note especially this too

If you put Jesus first be ready to pay the price for it even from your spouse, relatives, in-laws, others who very likely will mock you and discourage you from doing so cause they have wrongfully chosen now now to do so as well. Be willing to pay the price for follwing after JESUS  now too

Christians do not follow the self centered conservative Republicans, or the immoral Liberal democrat agendas rather they solely are to follow Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit himself and the Bible. True Christians care about honesty, justice, morality, fairness, human rights, poverty, the poor, helping others, love, sickness, sick, elderley, young persons etc.,

The goals, and the equipment  of our personal Ministry now in the world have not changed.
 
Most of us are familiar of a picture of an determined, persistent  explorer making his way through the jungle, equip with a water canteen, and a Machete, cutting the thick underbrush, so he can continue on the way though the jungle to reach the desired destination. Now all spirit filled Christian believers are also equipped to handle their roles, and life. Including the Knowledge of their personal forgiveness, salvation and the weapons of prayer and the refreshment of praise. The same equipment TO OVERCOME ALL OBSTACLES IN LIFE still needs to be used now too.

Luke 9:26 Because whoever is ashamed of Me and of My teachings, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when He comes in the [threefold] glory (the splendor and majesty) of Himself and of the Father and of the holy angels.
   
Luke 9:60 But Jesus said to him, Allow the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go {and} publish abroad throughout all regions the kingdom of God. Luke 9:62 Jesus said to him, No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back [to the things behind] is fit for the kingdom of God.

Deliberate or unintentional Mis-communications?

Now fundamentals, others try to limit God’s Word(s) as being the Bible itself. But at the time of Jesus Christ the people had  heard the Word itself, they heard Jesus Christ directly now. Luke 8:5 A sower went out to sow seed; and as he sowed, some fell along the traveled path and was trodden underfoot, and the birds of the air ate it up. 6 And some [seed] fell on the rock, and as soon as it sprouted, it withered away because it had no moisture. 7  And other [seed] fell in the midst of the thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it [off]. 8 And some seed fell into good soil, and grew up and yielded a crop a hundred times [as great]. (1 Cor 13:10 KJV)  But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.  (1 Cor 13:12 KJV)  For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.              

But still some would lie and distort  the above verses to mean   there is no more need for Jesus Christ to speak through His Spirit these days for we have the written Word, the Bible these days. Yes when we shall see Jesus face to face in Heaven , it all will be done away but now we have both his Word  the Bible and his Holy Spirit now too to teach us, instruct us, guide us,

 Insiders knew that the Latter rain Canadian evangelist in Lakeland Florida Rev Todd Bentley had gone of the deep end a long time ago much time before it became public, as usual too.. but they could not hide it forever.. 
 
Now some persons falsely try to imply that even God was surprised by what had happened  at the Revival at Lakeland Florida! He was not.

 I have been contemplating about this only the last 4 decades now ever since my first encounter with a perverse pastor.. a perverse church, perverse office and engineering managers, and perverse politicians, bad cops.. and the AGE ITSELF IS NOT THE ISSUE..    
 
1 You know firstly Garbage in, means garbage out, if you hired a bad person, especially your bad friends now,  for the job you will get bad results.. covering it up makes matters worse as next is often the case still too everywhere.
  
2 Now even if few like it still all good bad bad people need to be supervised, managed, not left totally on their own, and that includes now pastors, cops, politicians, doctors, nurses, professionals, etc., for self regulation is merely another world for me for masturbation.. not effective management
  
Furthermore exemplary punishing the bad guys next by firing them, starting with the top managers works best, as we see being done with Bell, BCE, Sympatico after their recent takeover now too.. Exemplary Public exposure and prosecution of the guilty persons serves everyone’s best deterrent, and Todd Bentley has been fired. But not before as too often typical covered up..       

No one is doing a friend a favour by lying, covering-up for him.. open rebuke is better than secret love for them too… those whom I love I chasten and rebuke too.. but there are still too many ostriches in the churches.. one church next took 5 years to see the pastor’s unacceptable sins that I saw in the first month, before they did what I would have done immediately too.. they fired him
 

 IT IS NOW MORE  RARE BUT I DO ALSO NOW STILL GET BULLIED BY RELIGIOUS BULLIES, ABUSERS TOO..  not just by the past bad cops
 
The WRONGFULLY STILL Unrepentant  bully’s problem is that he or she is one of those bad persons  who only feels truly alive when voicing hostility and contempt for his “enemies.” Without that, he or she starts gasping for air. It’s his nature.. self-destructive” ..  clearly these immoral  Bully, Basher of others, Abusers of others has a disappointed, deflated ego, negative self worth,  most likely related to past unresolved guilt, as a result  of  that   the bully, he or she, tries falsely to   build  their ego up by bashing, hating others, by being an antagonists against  his proclaimed enemies, which too often also  is most people , for  he or she no longer trust anyone, and Abusers this is a common very typical approach, fact in the character build up of Bullies, Bashers, but their approach is futile, the subsequent feeling of self worth dissipates too quickly, are actually replaced by guilt,  and his ego, self worth likely needs to be recharged with new hate.. and is replaced with more and larger hatred of the others.  I have seen this type of wrong behavior not just in bad managers, bad politicians, bad persons, but  in alcoholics, and most often in Albertan rednecks ,but also  in religious   fundamentals evangelicals who promote hated towards Pentecostal Christians as well, and  now as well as the crooked pastor wrongfully  fighting for control over others. Public exposure and prosecution of these bad persons here too services everyone’s best interest.

 

 

Can a non Christian Marry a Christian?

Clearly the New testament says no, and no more now  than any Christian can have any sex outside of marriage now too,  and Like it or not, but why?

NOW IF YOU THINK YOUR SPOUSE IS NON PERFECT, OR THEY ARE A NON CHRISTIAN, YOU HAVE TO LEARN TO LIVE WITH IT, TO MAKE THE BEST OF IT.. pray for them .. NOT FALSELY FILE  FOR DIVORCE.. it is as a simple as that too. Only in heaven when we are married to Jesus will we have the perfect marriage, the perfect father, the perfect brother.

Generally these days it is the wife who wrongfully files for divorce, and  before that it used to be the men.  These days the too often dirty lawyers who make blood money from divorce, are wolves in sheep clothing now picturing themselves and  the spouse to the courts, as good persons, decent, honest, reliable, falsely claiming her now to be a totally good , honest person, and not another typical  liar too.
 
The lawyers who tend to be too often liars themselves they like to present the female spouse before the Queen’s courts, before the supposedly reputable judge, who in my witness, experiences actual too often is also now a liar, pretender himself, a person  who does not get off the bench cause he is too lazy to ascertain the truth of the facts being presented to him or her.
 
The lawyers like to present the wife as a decent, respected, good, moral person who now has provided faithfully  for her husband, she did not, does not abuse any them not even her bad  husband, she does not cheat, lie or steal now as well.
 
The still mostly  liars like to present her as an a good person, whereas more likely in reality  she also is another demon. In fact men and women tend to be equal sinners, before God and man. In fact the same spouse she likely has slandered, lied, committed adultery, even stole from her spouse and now she will keep on lying, perjuring herself hoping next to get a good alimony support from her spouse.
 
Many a person  when they see these people divorcing they really tend next not to recognize them and their behavior, for it clearly is different from what they had known before, were used too in fact.  
 
All of a sudden clearly new now  openly monsters here have arisen.  In reality  the wife is not the mostly   innocent, the sole injured party and the husband is not the sole bad guy, villain too.
 
All of these mostly immoral,  lying now people, bad pastors, bad spouses, bad lawyers, bad judges tend to first need decent, real, pastoral counseling themselves.
  Christian Lies, Divorce And/or  Christian Divorce  Remarriage, (as well as adultery, fornication , Alcoholism, drugs, smoking, gays)  In the Christian Church are ALL still unacceptable.

C. Peter Wagner on Todd Bentley “Speaking of the public figure going down the tubes, Todd Bentley now carries the label of a liar and a deceiver. I am sorry to mention it, but I felt personally deceived in the same way when Ted Haggard’s sin was exposed and he was immediately removed from ministry. In the Lakeland I case, I am elated at the way things are turning out. The Revival Alliance with whom Todd was aligned on June 23 has kicked into action with a vengeance. Ch Ahn and Bill Johnson, like me, were overseas when things broke, but John Arnott stepped up to the plate and moved in apostolically. It has since become clear that Todd’s Fresh Fire Board could not have handled the situation, Stephen Strader and Ignited Church could not, nor could any of his other close friends. Only the Revival Alliance could. I am delighted that they are not buying into typical charismatic soft morality, also called “greasy grace” or “don’t touch God’s anointed” or mercy must triumph over judgment, phrases that have been used on other similar occasions as convenient religious cop-out excuses. They are proceeding in love, but it is tough love! 
 
My experience is that no church, denomination, sect is even close to perfect, not one, and yet they all falsely tend to next excuse, justify, cover-up when one of their pastors has clearly done unacceptable wrong… adding to the sins already done now too. This is unreal repentance.

But you cannot hide the sins for long anyway..Judgment begins in the house of God but it does not end there.

“The History and Future of the Present Revival – Part 9  View Part 1

Over the last couple of weeks, there has been an increasing swirl of controversy regarding Todd Bentley. I have had almost daily contact with him, and he asked me to post the following:

Todd Bentley asked me to convey his appreciation for all the prayers, expressions of love, and concern while he tries to navigate through this present situation. He is grieved by the trouble and confusion this has caused, especially to his friends, coworkers, and all who have trusted him. He wants to make a clear statement about it, acknowledging his responsibility in this and the mistakes he made, but he feels that he should first meet with Pastor Bill Johnson, who is out of the country and will not be available for a couple more weeks. He asks that you would continue to pray for him, and he thanks those who are willing to be patient. He wants to do this right and not hastily or superficially.   

I would like to accept personal responsibility for counseling Todd to wait until he has talked with Bill before trying to make the “full disclosure” of his mistakes. This needs to be done right and in a way that does not unnecessarily hurt even more people. In just a couple of weeks, things should have calmed down enough for a statement to be made. Impatience is not a fruit of the Spirit, and I have personally never seen anything done under the kind of duress and pressure that some are trying to exert at this time that ended up not being a mistake.

The only thing that I have received from the Lord about this matter directly is that “those who rush to judgment will be exposed.” This entire matter, including the Lakeland Outpouring, is a test. To me, the miracles, healings, salvations, and profoundly changed lives that resulted in people, some that I personally know, make all that is happening now still worth it, many times over.

My opinion of the Lakeland Outpouring has not changed, and it will mark a demarcation point for the church that will have a positive impact on our future. I greatly appreciate all who helped to make it possible, and I also appreciate the devotion we are seeing to not compromise basic biblical standards of morality and integrity. If we handle what is now before us rightly, it can have an even greater impact than the Outpouring did to encourage and strengthen the church for the great tasks before us.

I have no doubt that many of the statements that are now being made are going to be regretted by those who made them. Since I am appealing for a couple of weeks to give Todd the chance to process these matters and meet with Bill Johnson, I think we should give any who may have made premature statements some grace too. There are leaders who are applauding some of these statements, but almost every Christian that has talked to me about them, as well as most of the leaders I have talked to, thought that they were hastily made statements meant to cover their bases which cost these leaders a lot of credibility. I have only read a few, and that was not necessarily my perspective, though it is very obvious with some.

Even if this is the case, this is a natural tendency when someone is wounded. I think we should resist writing off these people and maybe have a moratorium to allow everyone a chance to retract what they have written for the last couple of weeks. We are told in Galatians 6:7 that we will all reap what we sow, which means that if we want to receive grace, we should give it, and if we want to receive mercy, we should give it. There may be some of this in my own writing that I am not able to see because I too am hurt by this situation. Therefore, I am also asking for grace and mercy if this is the case.

My main concern is that some of the worst doctrines and actions taken in church history were the result of people responding out of their wounds rather than by following the Lord. A lot of people are understandably hurting right now. Even so, those who resist taking action or making statements out of their pain, or under pressure, will be glad they did. Again, impatience is not a fruit of the Spirit, and it will never lead us to where the Lord wants to take us. Those who rush to judgment, or are hasty to take action, are not treated kindly in Scripture, and are likely to pay a high and unnecessary price for it.

I recommended to Todd to allow a panel of those who are considered true elders in the body of Christ, who could be impartial, to judge this situation, and he readily agreed. He did not make any demands or suggestions about who should be on the panel. He only said that he felt he should not cross the line and say anything negative about his wife, and that he intends to continue to love her and his children, and take care of them.

The Apostle Paul lamented in I Corinthians 6:5 saying it was to their shame that there were no judges among them, yet they were even called to judge angels. The lack of elders, who are also called as judges, is probably still the main cause for much of the shame that continues in the body of Christ. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of the Lord’s throne as we are told in Psalm 89:14, and if we are going to walk in His authority there must be a place for due process that is a standard of justice. God obviously cares very deeply about people being treated fairly and that His standards of righteousness are upheld. His seat of authority demands this for a foundation.

One thing we can be sure of—the Judge is on His throne and all of this is going to work out for good for His people. I am more encouraged every day at what is unfolding and at the great opportunity this situation is for us. The Holy Spirit moved upon the chaos in the beginning and look at the beautiful creation He brought forth! He knows how to do this and seems to love the opportunity that chaos gives Him to show what He can do. This, too, will work out for good to everyone who loves Him and is called according to His purpose. We have this as a sure promise from the One who cannot lie.”
