Quebec’s elderly care is sickening

A daughter  went to court  to seek an emergency injunction to force the curator to treat her father, who is being left “to die,” she maintained, because the curator will not authorize the necessary antibiotics to treat his lungs, or to treat a urinary infection he has also contracted. This is euthanasia. Pneumonia is easily cured with a round of antibiotics.  The Quebec Public Curator stepped in this summer to take over all legal , financial payments and decisions for 80-year-old father. This is how they make money using redundant now hospital beds.The Government has cut 500 beds in long-term facilities in the last 10 years, and now are offering medical aid rather to die for the very sick.

Om Quebec there is not enough existing staff to look after the seniors in the old age homes.. Doctors and Nurses included.. Seniors tend to be more ill, sicker, need more nursing care, more distribution of  pills, more looking after, more bed linen changing too,  and a ratio of one nurse to 40 senior patients is totally inadequate.. never mind if they have seriously ill patients.. and forget any care during the night even..So what is the government best proposed solution on this matter.. A nurse at Info-Santé recommended   the daughter for an ambulance to take him to an acute-care hospital for emergency treatment. But after the ambulance arrived,   staff at the nursing home stopped her father from leaving. And  the floor coordinator called the police,   because the guardian public curator had not issued a directive to allow him to leave.

The daughter was next successful in obtaining a court decision ordering the public curator to release her father to be transported to the Montreal General Hospital for treatment. .

Home and medical care for ailing seniors has been criticized by everyone from Quebec’s auditor-general to the provincial ombudsman for the past 15 years all to no avail.. Will  they let you doe too next?..

Quebec has worst emergency room wait times, in the country and among the worst in the Western world, 35 per cent of patients in Quebec — one in three — waited  hours or more for help in an emergency ward, one patient in 10 who goes to an emergency room leaves having failed to have seen a doctor or being directed to another establishment. The average provincial wait time for a specialist in a hospital is about eight hours.  The wait times in Quebec hospitals have barely changed in the past five years. The average wait time in an emergency room in Quebec is 15.3 hours in 2016. In 2015, the average wait was nearly the same: 15.4 hours. In 2015, about 45 per cent of all ER visits, 1.5 million, were longer than the maximum time recommended by Quebec’s health department  Almost half of cancer patients in Montreal wait more than 4 weeks for surgery. 232 Montreal cancer patients had been waiting at least two months for their surgery .  The government’s publicly stated objective is that 90 per cent of cancer patients scheduled for surgery undergo their operation within 28 days. Yet in Montreal, no hospital has achieved that goal. Ontario has a better system of prioritizing cancer surgical cases based on four levels of urgency. Cancers of the breast, lung and colon should be given immediate priority, while thyroid and even prostate cancers can wait beyond 28 days,

A report card system, which allows nurses and doctors to see how their efforts stand up compared to others, have improved results.  Quebec doctors, however, have traditionally resisted any form of performance evaluation. Ontario spends $30 million a year on performance evaluations — conducted by a similar agency — and its results are among the best in Canada.

A Quebec hospital  investigating the death of a diabetic man who died while sitting in a wheelchair in the waiting room at a Montreal emergency department.  André Desjardins, 64, went to the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital by ambulance after complaining of severe pain. He already suffered from high blood pressure and was a heavy smoker, in addition to having diabetes. A doctor at the hospital saw him but Desjardins was sent back to the waiting area. As his pain worsened, family members pleaded with staff to let him lie down on a stretcher, but none was provided. Instead, hospital staff put him in a wheelchair, where he spent an estimated seven hours waiting for futher care before he died, said his relatives. Making anyone in a medical crisis wait for care in an ER makes no sense at all, and reflects Quebec’s chronic problem with emergency care, said patients’ rights advocate Paul Brunet. “We had the ultimate failure of the system with the death of this guy. We shouldn’t have to wait in an emergency ward. We should stop accepting that,” said Brunet, who heads Quebec’s Conseil de protection des malades. “Evidently that patient was gravely ill, and certainly should have been taken care of more seriously than he was.” The hospital has apologized to Desjardins’ family but won’t comment further until its internal investigation is complete. Quebec Health Minister Yves Bolduc said that Desjardins’ death is unacceptable and regrettable, but denied that it had anything to do with the hospital operating at over-capacity. It’s not the first time a patient has died waiting in the Maisonneuve-Rosemont ER. Last February, an elderly woman suffering from Alzheimer’s disease died after waiting two hours on a stretcher in the Maisonneuve-Rosemont ER. Both Pentecostals- Charismatic and  Evangelical Christians it seems still do bad things, and they are too slow to repent of their sins.. but so was King David now too. but he too did not get away with it.. God dealt with  him on it too.

Now Dispensationalists, Fundamentalist have also been too often known to have missed the boat, been wrong on their preachy interpretations, predictions too.

When Will Jesus Christ Return? What Jesus and the Bible have to say.. what you are really  like when he comes back is the important issue too..

But for the time being, Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven:

The ostrich form of Christianity that contradicts the Bible

One of the most serious religious tragedy I have encountered in the last 5  decades is the ostrich Christianity, that contradicts the Bible..

Published January 1, 2009  by Gillian Steward in Viewpoint    As Stephen Harper stoked the opposition parties into a flaming fury in early December, I wondered if he had forgotten that he was in Ottawa, not Alberta. In Alberta, the provincial Conservatives treat elected opposition MLAs with the same kind of contempt. Of course, in Alberta they can get away with it, because they have successfully engineered majority governments for 37 years, and counting. The Tories here don’t need to worry about the Liberals and the NDs banding together and bouncing them back to the opposition benches. After all, the combined opposition holds only 11 out of 83 seats. Most Albertans seem to like the Conservatives, so they keep voting for them. However, Albertans who elect Liberals or NDs are no less committed to the well-being of their fellow citizens. You wouldn’t think the same of Conservative MLAs, given way they treat opposition members or anyone who takes them to task. Like Harper, former premier Ralph Klein was not content to best opposition forces during elections, which he did several times; he wanted to crush them. During the Klein, regime opposition MLAs were often treated as though they had no right to be in the legislature. He banned them from policy committees. He denied them the use of publicly funded government facilities. He freely insulted them, and he frequently forced closure of debate on important issues such as electricity deregulation and privatization of health care. Klein and his henchman Rod Love quickly labelled people “communists” if they gave them grief. They weren’t afraid to verbally slap around mayors, city councils, university presidents, school boards and, of course, the media. In Ralph’s World, power was the name of the game; democratic process was a nuisance. And let’s not forget Ed Stelmach was in cabinet for all of this. You may be wondering; if the situation was so bad, why didn’t the people of Alberta rise up in protest and vote the louts out? Perhaps it’s the Stéphane Dion syndrome: they didn’t much like the goons in power, but they didn’t much like the alternatives either. Let’s take the Liberals. The usual slap against them is that they are Liberals, that they are the same party that foisted former prime minister Pierre Trudeau’s much-hated National Energy Program on Alberta. Liberals are always quick to deny this. During provincial election campaigns, they go to great pains to explain to voters that they are Alberta Liberals, not the dastardly federal Liberals who sucked so much money out of the province. Then as soon as the writ is dropped for a federal election, the same Alberta Liberals turn around and work for federal Liberal candidates. Some of them even stand as federal Liberals candidates. Why do they think they can have it both ways? And why do they think that Albertans don’t notice the hypocrisy? As for the New Democrats, it’s hard to believe that they can ever move beyond their Edmonton fortress and the cozy support provided by public service unions. Most candidates in Calgary are recruited simply so the ND option is on the ballot, and voter support can be totalled up provincewide as evidence of popular support. Even so, the NDs garnered only 8.5 per cent of the popular vote in the last election. As well, stories abound about ND leader Brian Mason’s dictatorial ways. You know the NDs are at the end of the road when the president of the Alberta Federation of Labour publicly calls for a coalition of the NDs, Liberals and Greens, as Gil McGowan did last spring. The Alberta Conservatives have grown arrogant and lazy simply because they have been in power for so long. The opposition parties are becoming more and more irrelevant. Voter turnout in Alberta is embarrassingly low. The time seems ripe for a new party with a leader who can inspire people to work together on all the challenges that confront us. In the meantime, the Conservative government can pretty much do as it wants. It has a solid majority, and there won’t be another election for three years. Who knows, the opposition parties might be in even worse shape than they are now? That’s the way it is in Alberta. However, Harper would do well to remember that other parts of Canada don’t have the same hidebound traditions when it comes to politics. Ontario certainly doesn’t. Voters there hold governments much more accountable. As do voters in Quebec. For that matter, voters in the other western provinces regularly turf out governments if they are seen to be beyond their stale date. Not in Alberta. We prefer to keep the mouldy bread rather than bake a fresh loaf. Perhaps Harper has been enmeshed in politics Alberta-style for too long to realize it doesn’t translate well in the rest of Canada. He actually needs to work with the opposition or his minority government will not survive. In spite of a growing, deepening Albertan  recession the most recent  growth makes Calgary , 1/3 the size of Montreal, is the third-largest municipality in Canada ?  Now according to the latest statistics   Toronto (2,631,725 people in 2007) and Montreal (1,620,693 in 2006) had more people. Ottawa (898,150 in 2008) and Edmonton (782,439 in 2009) rounded out the top five.  However, if one uses census estimates from 2008 for metropolitan areas — which rightfully do include the immediate  surrounding suburbs — then the Calgary Region falls to fifth, behind Toronto (5,531,263), Montreal (3,750,540), Vancouver (2,271,224) and Ottawa (1,198,668).  Calgary (1,182,446) is unique  for having the vast majority of its population live in the actual municipality, and not in surrounding suburbs. It has no suburbs because it is a mostly new city basically. That is why it is also costly as the roads, sewers, are mostly new too. Calgary only has 60,000 more residents than Edmonton (1,124,163) and it makes a lot of false noise in that fact too cause it wants to attract much needed capital investors for non existing industrial, commercial aspects.. There basically are only 2 large cities in Alberta, Calgary and Alberta, and a handfull of samller towns.. There is not much industrial, Munufacturing business in Alberta due to the shortage of labor and skilled persons, and high operating costs. People in Calgary and Alberta do often dream of becoming rich ,  but it is a far away dream when you consider the high costs of living there and the uncertainty of holding onto a job too.

Accuracy Of Polls a Question In Itself

 
Polls is still like adding in arithmetic, just  leave out some numbers and you get a wrong answer. As simple as that,
      “Born again Christians” or the “Evangelicals” are defined for a start as the professing Christian  people who said they have made a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, they are married to Him,  that is still important in their life today and who also indicated they believe that when they die they will go to Heaven because they had confessed their sins and had accepted Jesus Christ as their savior. They generally are abstainers from Alcohol, Smoking, drunkenness, drugs, adultery, sex outside of marriage . ” This includes their believing, saying the Bible is the word of God, asserting that the Bible is accurate in all that it teaches; and describing God as the all-knowing, all-powerful, perfect deity who created the universe and still rules it today saying their faith is very important in their life today; believing they have a personal responsibility to share their religious beliefs about Christ with non-Christians; Believing they must help all the poor and needy persons too, believing that Satan exists; believing that eternal salvation is possible only through grace, not works; believing that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth; . Being classified as an evangelical is not dependent upon church attendance or the denominational affiliation of the church attended supposedly..”  Charismatics and Pentecostals are part of this group even if some falsely do not want to accept them. Catholics and Mormons, Jehovah witnesses are   not a part of this grouping.

   

“Notional Christians “are those who consider themselves to be Christian but do not meet the not born again criteria  such as  Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah witnesses they really are not Christians, mere pretenders, imposters, foolish virgins according to the evangelicals.

A poll a sample of only one thousand supposedly born again Christians is meaningless as it already has a built in error of 70 percent.

Victims of deadly C. difficile outbreak seek right to sue Quebec hospital –  MONTREAL – Victims of two outbreaks of C. difficile at a hospital near Montreal are asking the court for permission to sue the hospital for millions of dollars. A class-action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of the victims, both dead and living, as well as the Association to Defend Victims of Nosocomial Infections. Lawyer Jean-Pierre Menard is expected to announce further details during a news conference Thursday morning in Montreal. C. difficile is a common bacterial infection in hospitals but it can be especially deadly in people weakened by illness. Sixteen people died at the Honore-Mercier Hospital in St-Hyacinthe after contracting C. difficile between May and November of 2006. I have been writing now over 2 years to the federal and provincial governments, health Ministers, even on the net  that the Shit diseases has not been adequately looked after in Hospitals even and that one death from this disease, most of which could have been prevented is unacceptable still too

It is the most common cause of infectious diarrhea in hospitalized patients in the industrialized world.  Control measures include extra housecleaning, cleaning patient rooms twice a day and making sure even the phones and light switches are cleaned with heavy duty products that kill C. difficile spores..  a number of factors contribute to C. difficile outbreaks including the severity of the disease, the abilities of the organism to live on surfaces for months, elderly patients, older hospitals with multi-bed rooms and overcrowding of facilities.    An infectious disease expert who fought on the front lines of the Quebec C. difficile outbreak that claimed thousands of  lives says it’s “surprising” Ontario has taken so long to target the infection. “It’s a bit surprising that Ontario, which is right next door to Quebec, would wait for so long to implement a basic surveillance system,” said Dr. Jacques Pepin, an infectious disease expert at Sherbrooke University. “It’s not very good.” A review of deaths by the Infection Prevention and Control Unit of the University Health Network in Toronto shows the outbreak ran from May 1, 2006, to Dec. 31, 2007, starting seven months earlier than originally thought, and that it was about four times as deadly.”  http://www.thespec.com/News/Local/article/365792

Now on behalf of the good of all Canadians I have often written to the mostly pretentious, no good, elected officials, and civil and public servants, my valid detailed complaints, with copies to news editors and I have often posted them on my many various internet sites now too.  
 
And next I have often received no acknowledgements on them too even, never mind appropriate responses, further rightfully  DECENT, ACCEPTABLE  acts on them. So what else is new?
Unfortunately too many people seem wrongfully not to believe what is often now said to them unless it is firstly in writing, but even after that they can still reject the posted truth and often next TRY TO DO A FALSE SPIN TOO..  lie about it.. So what else is new?
 
Well thank God it next is still not my job to substantiate any further the truth or to force the persons reading it to accept the truth, and even anymore next make any of them them to to act upon it appropriately next too.. for that job  is someone’s elses.
 
THE FACT I HAVE PRESENTED THE TRUTH TO THEM FIRSTLY LEAVES THEM NEXT WITHOUT ANY FALSE DENIALS THAT THEY PERSONALTY, FIRSTLY  THEY WERE NOT GIVEN A CHANCE TO UNDO THEIR WRONG DOINGS, TO CORRECT THEIR WRONGS, AND GOD CAN NEXT HAVE THEM PAY THE APPROPRIATE NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES TOO.

Emergency Wards, Hospitals, Health Ministers

   
The Health Ministers and Hospitals now have come a long way in treating better the causes and preventing the spreading of of the too often fatal shit disease, C- difficile   in Canada but that now it all still is not enough.. and we all are not in the dark ages, in the era of the back death in Europe,  that we all should be so stupid too think that shit diseases, transmitted by unwashed hands after urinating, going to the toilet cannot still kill people.. yes it does.. many such diseases are often spread by hands, door knobs as well wethuis  all should know.. better and more regular hospital cleanings required still at every Hospital in Canada. http://groups.msn.com/CanadaToday6/shitdiseases.msnw

Isn’t it nice that some things do not change, they are so dependable, such as the inefficient usage of the local Hospital facilities, and medical personnel , staff as well? Wrong! Some things are never acceptable.
 
I HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO SIT FOR  A FEW HOURS WITH MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOUR AT THE LOCAL EMERGENCY WARD IN THE LASALLE ANGRIGNON-MONTREAL HOSPITAL, AGAIN.
 
So I had to hear all the complaining firsthand from the sick patients about the poor services again too. If the Health Minister was not such a pretender, coward too, now  he would try that himself. And learn a few things. Such as having only one medical  doctor on duty is guarantee way to insure major unacceptable slow down in the emergency department. On top of that as I know first hand and often, the quality of services you get THERE TOO depends on the quality of the doctor himself, and half of them, the clearly really poor ones should be employed for a start elsewhere, and have half of their salary cut as well next rightfully too.
 
Now from years of experience  already too I do also next a Hospital tour. I walk around the hospitals and observe how many hospital employees I can see talking in a group, or just floor walking, and  how many of the hospital staff are not at their desks, offices, ( you all should try this in governmental offices, especially in city hall now too),  and I had now clearly observed firstly as a result  that this local hospital was not even being utilized to a 50 percent capacity, never mind now 75 percent. Clearly the  bad hospital mangers are responsible for this and there now rightfully is a significant room for improvement.
 
My being nice to even one bad person is still a major waste of time, and to any bad Hospital managers, for too many Hospital managers and bad Hospital employees REALLY STILL do not care at all about the patient’s good welfare, sickness, problems, but only their own GOOD WELFARE. For  all they staff they mainly do care about is keeping their own jobs,  getting a raise, promotion and doing the minimum amount of work possible too, because only the fear of firing can cause any hospital employee to do a better job.. So start by firing now all of the the bad Hospital managers, ( also all Bad School mangers, etc..), the bad Health (and education  Ministers) firstly as well.
 
Now rightfully all of you allso do fix the Emergency room waiting problem  and immediately too.

The average wait time in an emergency room in Quebec is 15.3 hours in 2016. In 2015, the average wait was nearly the same: 15.4 hours. In 2015, about 45 per cent of all ER visits, 1.5 million, were longer than the maximum time recommended by Quebec’s health department  Almost half of cancer patients in Montreal wait more than 4 weeks for surgery. 232 Montreal cancer patients had been waiting at least two months for their surgery .  The government’s publicly stated objective is that 90 per cent of cancer patients scheduled for surgery undergo their operation within 28 days. Yet in Montreal, no hospital has achieved that goal. Ontario has a better system of prioritizing cancer surgical cases based on four levels of urgency. Cancers of the breast, lung and colon should be given immediate priority, while thyroid and even prostate cancers can wait beyond 28 days,

A report card system, which allows nurses and doctors to see how their efforts stand up compared to others, have improved results. Quebec doctors, however, have traditionally resisted any form of performance evaluation. Ontario spends $30 million a year on performance evaluations — conducted by a similar agency — and its results are among the best in Canada.
