New Testament basis for the restoration of the nation of Israel

The New Testament basis for the restoration of the nation of Israel is non existent, and yes some of the Jewish people will be restored spiritual to Jesus Christ though, a remnant only at that

.

Romans 9″27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:

.

Romans 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

.
When Jesus was asked by His disciples whether He would restore the kingdom to Israel at that time, to which He replied:

.

Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:6-8)

.

In Isaiah 62:1 God says, “For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.”

.

Note these are Jews of Israel that Jesus was talking to and he Jesus said they would evangelize the world next, which they did. You did notice there was, is no promise or the substantiation of Zionists claim of the restoration of the political Nation of Israel now still

.

Later, in the book of Acts, James says:

Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name. And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written: ‘After this I will return And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, And I will set it up.’ (Acts 15:14-16)

.

The New testament promise exists only of the rebuilding “again the tabernacle of David,”, Israel being spiritually revived into a real faith in God, is not the same as rebuilding the nation of Israel though

.

… Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. (Luke 21:24)

.

In Romans Paul states:

For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob. (Romans 11:25-26)

.

Next the completion of God’s purposes with the Gentiles marks the beginning of His renewed grace to the people of Israel. After the time of the Gentiles has been fulfilled, after the fullness of the Gentiles has come into the kingdom, then ALL of the ordained ISRAEL will be saved, the “times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord”. (Acts 3:19) Not all of the Jews will be saved ..

.

Paul, in his fundamental chapters 9, 10 and 11 of the Epistle to the Romans, teaches these same principles concerning the Jewish people:

I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! (Romans 11:1)

It is obviously the plan of God to receive them back in mercy:

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. (Romans 11:29)

.

It is true that many Jews are, were disappointed God has no longer a n aim to restore the political nation of Israel.. even with the coming and the return of Jesus Christ.

.

For my eyes have seen Your salvation which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel … Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel … (Luke 2: 30-34)

Matthew 23:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

Luke 13:35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

.
It should be evident from all of these verses that Jesus would be first a light to the Gentiles and cause the fall of many of His own people, which has happened and is happening but afterwards He Jesus Christ would become the glory of His once chosen people and cause the rising again of many in Israel. Only such New Testament promises are confirmed, revealed and no other The Lord will become the glory of His people Israel. (Luke 2:32)

.

Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness! … For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? (Romans 11: 12, 15).

.

Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Heaven is not Hebrew or Jewish..

.

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. (2 Corinthians 1:20) No promise about a restoration of the political nation, state of Israel in the New Testament still is mentioned, exists.

.

For the Lord shall build up Zion; He shall appear in His glory. (Psalms 102:16) is a reference now to the New Heavenly Zion for the Church where both redeemed Jew and the redeemed gentile will live together.

.

In Luke chapter one, verses thirty-one through thirty-three, the angel says to Mary: God reaffirms “And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.” It is the kingdom of Jesus being built that will have no end and not the kingdom of Israel.

.

For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. (Romans 11:32-36)

.

2 Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

.

Revelation 312 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

.

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
